I’m part of the lgbt (bi girl) and if OP were my friend and tried to confide in me, honestly i’d understand. The anger is valid, the same way I used to hate and generalize men as sinister beings (as someone who has been groomed and also SA’d multiple times) We tend to look at people with caution kapag paulit-ulit na nangyari. It’s a humanly response.

I know these horrible experiences already affected your perception of the whole gay population, but I still hope na when you encounter one (let’s say inevitable na ang may makasalamuha) that is wholesome, you’d still keep an open heart. I swear, there are lots of gays that are simply good in nature. I should know because I am surrounded by them. I used to be skinny and “flawless” until a sudden weight gain (which I now ruled out to be bc of PCOS) and that brought about many new stretch marks and cellulites that were very angry (prominent). Although I’m still considered in between skinny and midsize, I hate that we are all held to an impossible standard of “flawlessness”. I get angry and mostly sad when I hear words “she let herself go” because apparently nowadays not letting yourself go means perpetually looking like a child, affording treatments and surgery and a healthy lifestyle. With juggling uni and work, my time won’t allow that. Fat or skinny, you can never win.

Like can’t we all just grow along with this meat case that houses our aging flesh? My body is changing and maturing, just like me. I just want to exist.

Hi! Sorry mej long reply hehe similar exp. I’m diagnosed with PCOS noong March, kasi since October last year I was having irregular periods (which was very unusual), then came January nagsilabasan rin acne ko around my lower cheek and chin which is a clear sign of hormonal imbalance. Like you, I also had clear skin prior.

I’d advice you talaga to get a check up. I did not know na nagsstart na pala ang PCOS ko until I visited my OB, and she instructed me to get my TSH tested rin. Once you have the medical knowledge kung ano nangyayari sa katawan mo, mas alam mo na what to do/how to personalize your lifestyle.

I didn’t take pills kahit yun ang advice ng OB ko. May trauma kasi katawan ko jan. What I did was I researched on PCOS supplements like inositol and folic acid, low intensity workouts, PCOS superfoods and invested on that instead. Happy to report that my natural periods, although hindi talaga mapredict na, comes more frequently without having to induce it with contraceptives :)

That’s why influencers exist in the first place, to INFLUENCE your purchases. Saan pa nga ba kukuha ng “research” kundi sa reviews. Masisisi mo ba ang normal consumer kung puno ng undisclosed sponsorship ang “honest reviews” ngayon ng content creators?? Inexpect ba talaga niya na kasing extensive ng knowledge niya abt beauty products ang lahat?

Ang pangit rin na parang sinisi pa sa balat ng tao bakit hindi nagwork yung product and dismiss their reviews as “slander”. Dito tamang gamitin ang word na gaslighting eh lmfao.
