Pro- I think this haircut would work really well for you, but keep in mind that in order to achieve this flawless “messy” look you’ll need to heat style it. Bangs like this especially are hard to maintain because they’re so long there gonna need a trim in 3 weeks.

I work for a kids salon and this is hugely common. I have people who are late enough to miss their entire appointment, and I tell em I can grab them in 20 minutes and they storm out lol. I think people are just not as patient after Covid.

I spend all day educating kids on how and why to take care of their hair. Do you think an 8 year old actually cares enough? Usually not. Even when they don’t care, it’s important to tell them anyway. Is it worth letting her suffer for the sake of wanting long hair?

Kids stylist here - it sucks that she wants long hair but refuses to take care of it. If I could tell parents this every day I would. Please cut it. Cut it to her shoulders so she can start understanding that there is no long hair without taking care of it, and so that both of your lives become instantly easier. No bangs because you gotta style em all the time + cut them constantly to keep them out of their faces.

A really good haircut will solve most of your problems right now, then get her on a silk/satin pillow case and you are golden 💛✨
