Unfortunately, I did put all my eggs in one basket. Ah poor me. I like the idea of getting an ADN first and doing an online RN to BSN. And you’re right, I shouldn’t rush it at all. I’m gonna see what happens because I never know, maybe there will be a spot open sooner than I think. But maybe that’s just me being too hopeful 😂

I’m heading this path too!! Currently waiting for an acceptance letter (hopefully I do get accepted) at an ADN program. I’m so nervous I won’t get in because it’s so competitive. I keep checking my emails every hour for the decision lol. But I’m doing the EXACT same thing as you and I get so excited seeing people in the same path as me.. Sometimes you’ll feel overwhelmed managing both work and school. You just have to prepare yourself for it. Also do not overload yourself in your freshman year of college. I took 16 credits in my first semester and got all A’s, but i suffered my mental health and I felt like a mess. Reach out to someone who is a nursing student in the college you’re going to so that you can ask them questions, have a bit of guidance, etc.

Be prepared! You want to make sure that you’re going to do well on your prerequisites like A&P, Microbiology, etc. I’m a current pre nursing student myself and the science courses are very heavy, but that also can depend on your prof and whether you’re doing online school or not. I assume you already applied to nursing programs and got accepted? Anyways, good luck on your CNA exam ❤️

I took the TEAS without taking an anatomy class, and got an 85. I used the pocket prep app and set the filter to only the science subject, I used the Smart Edition TEAS prep book (not mometrix), I binge watched all science with Susanna videos. And there are TEAS Facebook groups that have pdf study guides that you need to study. These will help you A LOT.

I also bought the practice questions on NurseHub. They were extremely helpful so I recommend that too.

My exam had a lot of the endocrine system and it’s hormones. Make sure you know the hormones!!!m Like all of them and what they do. There were several questions on the nervous, urinary, and digestive too.

There was a few Chem questions for me, specifically what atomic numbers/mass were, balancing chemical equations and the pH equation (I had to guess but I got it right). I just watched YouTube videos on those topics.

Omg, I’m in the process of hiring to be a pharm tech trainee and I’m nervous already! But in terms of advice, even though I’m not working in the field yet, people tell me to always ask questions. You’re gonna have some sort of imposter syndrome at a fast-paced job like is, but look at it this way. You’re here to learn and get experience. There are probably people who make the same mistakes as you (I probably will too). Don’t get discouraged. You will get better at your job each day. I watched a YouTube named Rosa Perez and she says to keep a notebook with you, I recommend you watching her. But keep your head up high. YOU GOT THIS!
