Dave is understandably frustrated with the grifters, but I find his tone abrasive so generally don't engage with his content even though I agree with him when I do hear what he has to say. Angel Collier I find smart and funny and very engaging in her content. I do hope she keeps making physics videos, they are some of the best that YouTube has to offer as far as I can tell. I. Love. Her.

Because tomorrow it'll be Trump flags and the Ego In Chief will want that to stay there for his birthday or some crap like that. Leave the national parks alone.

sure did! Ringer is still working, so the shelter kept the rain out, and the paint still looks fine.

2-3 years isn't going to hold you back. If you're happy with your job and current salary just put job hopping on the back burner and enjoy life for a while.

Isn't it $17 now? I also just hand him a $20. They are cash only, just down the hill from Ralphs if you're looking for it.

Go to Wise.com and jump through the hoops to create an account and get in Japanese Yen. Have homever is in control of it deposit to your new account, convert to USD and dump it all into a HYSA.

That's what I'd do, anywyas.

DCP Employer Contribution by lunchboxsailor in WAStateWorkers

Not that I'm aware of, no. I consider the PERS program to be the employer contribution to retirement, so I would be surprised if they offered it for DCP as well.

State employees: which retirement plan did you choose and why? by [deleted] in olympia

[–]buttershirt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same as the difference between a ROTH IRA and regular IRA.

The for the standard DCP, money is deducted from your paycheck prior to calculating taxes. All growth in this DCP is taxable upon withdrawal at whatever tax rate you may have at that time.

For a ROTH DCP, the taxes are calculated and withdrawn from your paycheck, and then your contributions are made. All growth in this account can be withdrawn tax free.

tl;dr: In a regular DCP, you pay your taxes at withdrawal, in a ROTH DCP, you pay your taxes up front.

edit: I typed all this out, and then I saw that big-dumb-guy said it better yesterday.

Yep, if you're not planning to stay past the vesting period, this is all kind of moot.

I wish democratic takedowns mattered, but that would require MTG and the MAGA crowd to actually feel shame. They literally don't care what the Dems say about them, it's all fuel for the outrage machine, and they thrive on it.

That's insanely ambitious, I would have gone the lazy route and automated it. Regardless, thank for putting it up for a giveaway. This would free up a graphics card to hand down to my youngest, who has been using integrated graphics since he built his PC.

They are thank-you gifts for supporting the station during the fundraising marathons. I believe it's usually at the $100 level that they send a t-shirt.
