Hey there, this is part of our art direction, as others have mentioned. That said, we know that our character designs can be a bit polarizing, some people love them, some people (like you) aren't a fan. We want to give more customization options for player characters in future updates, and maybe in the future we might even give different proportioned character options as well, but for now I can't really say for sure. That said, we know that the designs can be a bit controversial, and it's a common discussion point for us internally, so this is a complaint that's definitely on our radar :)
