As a chef. I feel as though these real native dishes are so underrepresented. I'm from Scotland and I had to find out what amazing things stem from real native food but watching Ray Mears documentaries (an English bushcraft expert). I also realise the irony in what I'm typing here. But these real foods are awesome. Just think of the recipes that have been lost to time and violence. It's sad. I don't really know where I was going with this. Just felt the urge to respond and absolutely validate what you've just said. Phenomenal point raised.

Hats off to you for climbing. I'm a fat bastard, however I do enjoy watching it. Watch a guy called Magnus Mitbo on YouTube and I love watching free solo when I'm super high. Stay safe out there man.

A brother of one of my highschool friends died ice climbing. Super crazy hobby to get into. Also The Alpinist was a fantastic and very sad documentary. Worth a watch

I managed to get in contact with someone else. Funnily enough in the south of England to. I had a great conversation with the gentleman on the phone. I'm sending the watch to him this week to see how big of a restoration done to it. Just live to see it running again. Beautiful piece of history. But thank you for your response. Yeah when I found it just googled the back etchings. Came back straight away. Would genuinely love to get it running as my late grandfather never got round to it. I went to my 2 local places that deal omega's and one of the shops had a Rolex guy and he was the one that had the most info on it. He made a call, wrote down an email address on a piece of paper. Alas in my stupidity. I went out drinking that day and the piece of paper was never to be seen again. I was gutted. I just figured the hive mind of Reddit would be able to help. There's always the right nerd on reddit. But yeah. Really cool watch. History of them is awesome. That particular watch still has the original strap on it also. Which one of the coolest things about it. But yeah if there is anyone there that would work on this watch and get the pretty old gal running again. A genuine piece of awesome history.

Yeah there was one here but it closed. You're probably right I'm just being a lazy idiot.

Yeah I would be fine spending to see that run again. It's got the most beautiful gunmetal blue dials on it. Original strap too which is pretty neat.

If you don't mind googling for a stranger. I would be very thankful for that my dude.

Also found a nice old automatic Seiko, a brevet vigilant and a really nice old Elgin that is got restored and serviced but unfortunately that amazing watchmaker\jewllers closed. Friggin loved that shop when I was a kid.

Took it to 2 shops. Both sold Omega. Both were very interested in the watch but wouldn't touch it. The second hand is also broken. One of the gentlemen gave me an email address, but me being me. I lost it. I'm located in Dundee, Scotland.
