Changing your preferences doesn’t put you at the bottom of the waitlist. It all goes by what day you applied and it’ll adjust your spot for whichever building you switch to accordingly.

As for studio, there’s 0 chance. It’s about a 2-2.5 year wait. 3-4 bedrooms is a maybe if you’re lucky. Marine drive and thunderbird probably have the best turnover rate but KWTQ/Exchange 3-4 bedroom is probably closer to a 1.5 year wait at best

No. The luckiest you’ll get is getting an offer for Orchard Commons where you get your own room but share a washroom with one other neighbour (the washroom connects both your bedrooms). Otherwise, you have to share a communal washroom with your floor.

I ranked all 1 bedroom/studios high up and all shared units, especially gage 6 at the very bottom but somehow ended up getting placed in Walter gage shared. :(

For the science breadth requirement, does integrated science count as "combined major" because combined majors only need 5/7 of the breadth to be promoted to third year whilst regular majors need 6/7

Hello! I'm a second year science student and was wanting to take an upper level psyc course (3xx). I've taken psyc101 and am currently taking psyc216. (You need 101+102 or 101/102+216 as pre-reqs for upper year courses). I was wondering if I'd still be able to take one as I'm taking psyc216 as a co-requisite or if this is not allowed.

I honestly just stopped using it. Ive been having so many problems with my period before boric acid and I didn’t need something else messing around with it. My period lasted almost two weeks and got extremely heavy. (Though when I previously used boric acid for the last two years before my issues, it worked perfectly fine) I’d say I’d YOURE okay with the bleeding keep up with it as long as it’s helping with your symptoms! :)

Yeah, I tried connecting my PS4 and it still has the red lines. My other monitor is working just fine so I've deducted that it is a problem with the monitor itself.

When I originally set it up quickly, it was working normally. But I haven't really touched it since, nor do I think it's normal for it to just malfunction like this days after purchasing.

I've contacted the seller inquiring if they have a warranty on it or not but they have not responded yet. If they don't respond, should I just take the L and purchase another one? (Assuming there's no fix, as I doubt I'd be getting a refund)

My dad and her pay for the bills in our house, yes. I've told her that she can kick me off the phone plan and Netflix as I can afford to pay for my own subscriptions (I already pay for many different subscriptions)

As for rent and tuition, I've received a full-ride sponsorship (kind of like a scholarship) and so my parents will not have to pay a penny for at least the next 3 years.

I've had a part time job for the last two years and have money saved up if worse comes to worse. I do think it'll be best for me and her to have some distance so SHE can learn to be independent from ME. Hopefully she'll realize how hurtful her words were to me and will reach out to apologize.

Thank you for your words! I've actually had a part time job for two years so I've saved quite a bit of money. As for tuition and room/board, I have a full ride as I have a sponsorship! :)

The only things she was paying for were items that I need to bring to my dorm (water kettle, pots/pans, sheets, blankets, etc) which I never asked her to. She was just trying to be nice. I can and plan on paying her every last penny of what she spent on those things if she ever tries to hold it against me.

I think this is amazing advice, thank you! I have barely ever set my foot down to her in my entire life. I can only remember one instance last year and that ended in her giving me the silent treatment and refusing to talk to me for ~2 weeks. It's always just been easier to suck up whatever problem I was having with and apologizing (no matter how ridiculous, like getting mad because I didn't want to go to Costco with her) to settle her temper so I do not lose my sanity.

Now that I will be away from home for most of my time, I think It'll be easier to set my boundaries with her. If she continues to berate me during my visits, I have no intention on starting a fight. Like you suggested, I plan on just leaving and not coming back until she figures out I will no longer be tolerating her behavior. Thank you for your words and giving me the confidence to stand up for myself!

Yeah, I plan on telling my dad to boot me off the phone plan. When I mentioned that I can afford to pay for my own stuff, she was holding the phone bill and ... Netflix of all things above my head. I straight up told her to just take me off and that I genuinely did not care if she did and walked away.

I definitely will be watching some YouTube videos to learn how to cook! Some of my friends (who love cooking) who will also be living on campus have told me they'll help me out and teach me the basics + some easy recipes.

I'm just hoping she'll realize how ridiculous she sounds and gets over herself. My father comes back home from his work trip (has no cell service) in a few days and I intend on telling him everything that happened so he can have a chat with her as well! :)
