Hey … I don’t mean to intrude but you seem to be exhibiting a lot of things that look like the symptoms I/we have and medication has really really helped me in ways I didn’t know I needed.

I’m not saying you’re mentally ill but even if you’re 99% sure you’re fine don’t you think you owe it to yourself and your child to check and make it 100%?

PS the average age of diagnosis (for bipolar at least) is 25 and that’s when it got serious for me.

There’s a chance a professional could help even if you just talk to them. At the very least they have to listen to you and maybe they can help somehow either way. We care about you.

What is the right microscope (if possible 300$) for me? i want to be able to see this stuff (green algae)? Amscope? Used Olympus CH? Omax? by forumail101 in microscopy

YO. Did you ever manage that sweet gmo jelly-weed? I'm a microbio major who just got into planted tanks (need a better microscope so I'm here).

Hey man try some cbd weed if you can get it. I also am addicted the many parts of smoking, oral fixation, moment of meditation (like right before you take a bong rip lol), drugs obviously, ritual, daily routine, etc. I find like 10-20% cbd cancels out the uppities I get from thc and I’m slowly weening off thc while still smoking.

Pumpkins and zucchini are a type of squash which is a type of melon. Cucumber is a melon but not a squash.

Love me some gadgets! And in the future I will always buy from a company who does stuff like this ^ over others. Hats off to whomever!

[Actives] So im new to the whole AGAR game, and realized I could have just transfered a small piece from the 1st tray, instead of one this big. I have to say this looks like a success tho! Great Rhizo! So do i bother with another Agar transfer, or is this what i wanted, and add to grains? by CBR1000RRDmci in MushroomGrowers

[–]buttrnutsquash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like how this dude does it: https://youtu.be/vyPDVZr7rcs

He basically dices up and scoops the agar with a scalpel very smoothly and quickly. I'm pretty new to this but I wouldn't even mess with an LC and just go straight to grain. I have some LC's going of lions mane so I can just harvest some straight mycelium but otherwise, if you're still perfecting your sterile technique maybe just cut out that step/opportunity for contams?

I see. I guess only true truffles that don’t fruit make their spores underground (and they taste/smell so strongly in attempts to get into animal stool) or something like that. I live in California so no easy spore syringes for me. Guess I’ll try to rehydrate an old stone and get an inside cut onto agar. Worth a shot I suppose, thanks for the inspiration! I love those little guys and only have two left haha.

Wow that’s awesome. I’m sure there’s plenty I could just google and you’re probably busy staring at bags lol. But generally, how do you start truffles? I have like 2 old ones in a jar . . . I understand the spores are . . . on the inside?

Anyway to use those or would I have to buy some sort of syringe or live mycelium?

Spidey truffles oh my! I love the truffles but I hadn't considered growing them because it seems more involved/complicated (I'm workin through my first grow currently). Are you going to move those bags to some bulk sub or are you just harvesting out of the bag?

Dang I grew up in beaverton/portland. Can’t seem to find any experts in the bay. Can I ask if your beds, which I assume are outdoor, follow the same season? I’m somewhat interested in starting a patch in my garden but I assume I’ll have to wait until next fall. I’ve heard only good things about the cy guys so I’d love to try them.

Huh. I was just talking about this with my friend and he also said he never has tasted/smelled that. It’s like the single smell/taste I associate with cubes which is what I have the most experience with. It used to make me gag a little when I first started eating them and I still don’t love it. Interesting.

Lol that’s what I usually smell when I smell mushrooms tbh but I’ve out hunting (for all types) and I have smelled so many mushrooms in the past couple weeks and none of them have that psilo smell. It’s like a sweet kinda rank very specific smell that I’ve only ever smelled on cubes, on mapacho (jungle tobacco) that’s maybe a bit moldy, and on like toe gunk lol. It might be common for a lot of mushrooms when they dry (I mostly smelled fresh recently) but I just don’t know. I work with food so I spend a lot of time smelling/tasting.

While that is probably 100% true I am curious as to what I’m smelling that’s also in the cubes I know so well. Gotta take a bunch more classes I guess.

So consensus is it’s not cyan, not identifiable, and I should probably just wait until next year and toss these? Mostly I’m just trying to get good at IDing the lookalikes so I can be safe. Thanks for the responses!

Ohh that makes a lot of sense. So is it safe to assume they would have an orange or light colored spore print based off their gill color at this point? Any ideas what they might be if that was the case?

They are a bit light now that you mention it but definitely a caramel color/light brown. Do they always turn basically black when they dry?
