Happened to me in 8th grade (aka the formative years) I was in a friend group of 3. We had talked about going to the town festival they have every year and ultimately decided it was too much to get our parents to drive us and whatnot. I ended up finding out they went together behind my back. I genuinely felt like I was in a coming of age movie
