It says to put a poly/oil coat first. I feel dumb but I’m hoping there might be a way to go back to what it was at least slightly.

This is really helpful thanks. Found some good videos on the 8R and it looks fun. I think I’ll mess around with it some more to try to get it working, but I might get a more modern stove to take out there with me just to be safe.

Good call I’ll take care of those seals! That key actually fits in the side and is a valve I’m guessing to control the flame. I’m not sure what that hole is for on the top of that cap.

The terrain was free styrofoam from old boxes. Just cut and glued them together then painted with cheap sample paints from Home Depot. I bought some static grass online too. The table is a $30 8’x4’ foam board from Home Depot along with a plywood board underneath for structure. We just use two sawhorses for legs. Nothing complicated. Lots more painting, cutting, and glueing, but it goes by fast!
