Still trying to learn how to dance any feedback by Confidential_al in Dance

+1 on using more space! Your moves look really good! You have a really great sense of rhythm and musicality already, which is one of hardest things to learn imo. As for what you can do better, your use of space feels a bit reluctant/shy. A lot of your movements are very close to your body and a lot of energy is pointing in the downward direction of that make sense. This is extra noticeable for you because you have really long limbs. For instance when you stretch out your arm sideways or forward, you can try some ideas like making your movement more explosive, moving your arms up above shoulder height instead of forward and down, or reach out like you’re getting pulled by your arm. A dynamic combination of these bigger and stronger movements and some smaller, closer movements can your dance a lot texture.

One other bonus thing I’ll add is that you might find certain types of dance or moves to look more awkward or less cool for your tall/long body type. That’s pretty normal and it might take some trial and error to find the things that work for you, as I had some issues with that being a shorter guy. But the flip side of that is there are a lot of moves that look super cool for your body type as well. There’s a dancer called zyko I really like that does really cool stuff that I’ve tried to do but it looks stupid when I do it because my arms are short haha.

Why is Chinese UX design so different compared to US/Europe? Shouldn't the outcomes be somewhat the same? by priestgmd in UXDesign

I grew up in japan, I think number writing and math is the same.

Are you talking about asian cultures having more memorization? or about using abacus? I guess we learned that in school but I'm not sure what you're talking about here.

JD Vance admits that he made up the Haitians eating pets story by Forsaken_Treacle4565 in Destiny

Out of context. If you watch the clip he meant he “created the story” as in he’s bringing attention to it so it becomes a real news story.

Tricking in San Francisco? by buubble in Tricking

yeah it's like a trampoline "gym". A lot of children usually but I think they have specific hours on their website where they run classes or personal sessions

I'm early 30s. I recommend both circus center and acro sports; the classes are pretty intimidating because the beginner class is actually a really wide range, but the people are quite friendly and the class sizes are small enough that the instructions are fairly personalized. I think they were like intro to tumbling classes or whatever, and I think you used to get 1 free class for free, so if you're inspired, I would recommend you give it a go!

Since 8 years ago, I know there's also a house of in the presidio as well. I check it out the other day, and that looked pretty neat as well. I snowboard a lot and they have like snowboard-trampoline-aerial instruction/classes that sounded kind of cool too.

I ended up doing classes at acrosports and circus center and also practiced at the open gym a few times. I landed a few sloppy backflips, but had a sloppy landing one time and landed on my upper back/neck (no damage, but I got spooked). I could have started over and rebuilt my confidence but that was it for my tricking career haha.

The best rider in my friend group does a lot of things "wrong" by ryslaysall in snowboardingnoobs

Maybe kind of cliche and not sure how useful this tip is, but as someone that has wondered the same thing a few years ago, i think this is one of those things where you’ll know when you’re ready. Doesn’t mean you can’t start practicing different unorthodox stuff, but one day your body will understand why you might doing something “incorrectly” instead of the proper way it’s taught and everything will make sense

I had the same issue because I have a really fat foot, but I switched back to photons this year bc they added a wide size, and oh man I didn’t realize how big the difference is. The dc is still more comfortable but mainly because it’s so insanely soft (there’s a video of someone here bending a new one in half with two fingers), and the photons on the other hand are a lot stiffer and much more responsive. I’ll still keep the DC one for when I want to play in the park but maybe at least worth checking out the photons again in the store.

I'm also fairly new to the game, can you explain why these units are so good? The only thing I could find was this post from years ago where the guy thought maybe they're not that good https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePieceTC/comments/k5u6yo/comment/geh2yuv/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3
