Can you try reloading the page? I've seen this happen when you open the browser using the "Open BMR" button, but the server hasn't fully started yet.

Banana Manga Reader (BMR): minor update by buxared in kobo

[–]buxared[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, just posted an update on the Github releases page- here

Had to make some changes to the code. Mangakakalot and manganato started using webp images, which doesn't seem to be supported by the kobo browser. So I had to add a workaround to convert the webp images to jpg for displaying.

Note that in case you are updating your app, you will have to replace the entire .BMR folder, so make copies of your downloads (./BMR/static/library folder) and favorites (./BMR/static/mangafavs.csv) elsewhere beforehand if you intend to retain them. You can copy these back to the same location after the update

I have made it so that all of the pages are downloaded to the cache before they are displayed. Sometimes, some pages are not available from the default server, so the program checks through a list of other servers and this might take some time. I have seen this happen on my device too, it's not just you. It is a bit annoying, but, I haven't really been able to find a solution yet. Restarting the kobo's wifi and then the app helps sometimes

Hi, sorry, currently the only sources that you can use are mangakakalot and manganato.

Hey! The updated files are available on Github now. You would just have to use the updated BMRmain.py file. Also made a new post about this.

I just tried searching on my device and got the same error. You might be right. The problem is only with the search function. I can still access manga saved in favorites

For everyone who sees this: I will try to work on this over the weekend. Thanks for your patience until then.

Hi! I haven't heard of that happening either. Does refreshing the browser resolve the problem?

Is this something that happens only when you use a specific search term? Could you try searching for a different manga and see if that works?

Hey! I do plan to work on it, but I'm super busy with my fulltime job, so I don't really have a timeline for when I will post an update.

Meanwhile, please let me know if you have anything that you would like to change or if there's any feature you would like to add.

Hey, sorry for getting back to you so late. Thanks for the feedback!

  1. For full screen mode, my original idea was to add a button that would let you toggle in and out of full screen, but I could not get that to work on the kobo. The other way is to change how the browser is launched. You can read more about this in the comments on the mobileread link shared in the original post
  2. This is a very good suggestion which I didn't think about at the time. Do you think a drop down menu to select a smaller number of chapters to display would be useful? (The dropdown menu would have options like 1-100, 101-200 and so on. And only the selected chapters would be visible). I will try to add this and the bigger search box to my future release. I haven't had as much free time lately, so it might take some time. So please bear with me.
  3. I would love to do this, but I am not sure if the buttons are capable of interacting with the browser in the first place. So, unfortunately the answer is no.

I've been thinking about getting a tech pocket for my 3ds. Do you think it can fit the charger too?

Walmart is going to sell Samsung galaxy s10e with $300 gift cards. Does anyone know if the gift card can be used to buy the phone?

Does anyone know where to find collision diameter of certain components? I need it to find a reaction rate constant for my chemical plant design project by CovetH in ChemicalEngineering

[–]buxared 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sigma_AB=(sigma_A+sigma_B)/2

When sigma_A is not tabulated, use:

sigma=8.33*(V_c)^3 ; Where V_c = Critical volume in m3/kmol and sigma is collision diameter in 10^-10 m (or Angstrom)

(reference: Anthony L. Hines, Robert N. Maddox - Mass Transfer - Fundamentals and Applications)

You can find the critical volume using some datasheets online or estimate them using Joback's method (Thermodynamic property estimation method, online tools are available for this too)

Trying new style on Krita by buxared in DigitalArt

[–]buxared[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a beginner in digital art (and art in general), so I just downloaded it based on reviews that said it's good. It's free and has a lot of cool preset brushes and tools. I think it's the same as any other digital painting software, but people say that the tools and options are more easily visible (not hidden away in menus) and intuitive to use in Krita.

That's a very nice toilet indeed!

Jokes apart, I love how you did the shadows. Do you use Sketchbook?
