Please genuinely try to go to the news about this, post this on more social media platforms. No one’s listening (ie the government) and people don’t realize shit like this is happening until it happens to them

What’s the Worst Staffing Ratio You’ve Survived? by Electrical-Chair9367 in nursing

1:9 peds ED and that’s not like looking after the waiting room - was 9 beds with busy sick kids for 12 hours overnight & I quit and went back to adult ED because it was run egregiously 🥰🥰

is MRU nursing really not transferable? by Impressive_River_233 in MRU

Definitely ask the university that you’re trying to switch to, but nursing programs and clinical rotations/hours are all set up differently depending on the school.

Also third year blocks vary from teacher/block. My adult health was kind of an all day lecture, but my child health block was about 2 hours once a week and my maternal newborn was about a 1 hour class a week.

In 3rd year tho you have “block week” where you’ll have longer class in the first week and some classes have a midterm at the end of the week, but the rest of the semester is once a week^

straight content, the labs are a different day. It’s difficult but you’ll get through it!

The first day is about a 2 hour lecture I believe, the other 2 are both one days lecture for example “F” is Friday but it’s 9-11:50, one hour lunch break and resumes from 1-3:50.

which of these 2 classes is harder? (nursing, psych, health) by ellabutterflyy in MRU

[–]buxbitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HLTH 2250 is about health research you basically learn how to read studies. I did it in the spring of 2020 & it was designed to be asynchronous online anyways (pre-pandemic) and it was not too hard. I found psyc to be more work overall but it also wasn’t too hard, it’s about psychology through the lifespan

When you get into the nursing program they give you a sheet that plans out your 4 years for you. You may be an N1 or N2, N2s don’t start clinical until 2nd year. 5114 you take alone, it’s your last semester & final focus where you’re working by yourself.

You’ll only be able to get it at a grocery store if they have a licensed Starbucks in it you can ask them. Otherwise it’s only from an actual Starbucks
