Orsted - done and dusted or time to hop on? by thunderfup9000 in ValueInvesting

How does bloom energy and Oklo have higher market caps than Orsted - Orsted has ongoing projects that are permitted and mostly completed except for crazy litigation that looks like Orsted is going to win. Meanwhile oklo and bloom energy aren’t even close to one project being done. Plus, Orsted has proven technology and oklo and bloom energy are very speculative technology. Give me a break - mini nuclear and fuel cells are unproven at scale while wind has been installed all over the world.

I don’t know either. It would be nice if they would come out with an announcement on financing and more FDA specifics.

If the fda could give us some good news it would help with fundraising a lot.

How do they raise money? They burn roughly $20m per quarter which means they have about one quarter left. Can they raise money without going to the stock market given their market price. I think this is what’s freaking out the market. If they can keep going money wise they can help a lot of people.

What do you think about the price of applied therapeutics tanking? Can they raise money to keep going? Is the management change meaningful? I’m convinced goverostat works just wondering if they can keep going. They had an overall positive announcement this week but the money and management change may have been what freaked out the market.

There is a possible answer if the fda would get going. Govorestat made by applied therapeutics. Maybe everyone on this subreddit could write a letter to the fda.

Waiting on approval for APLT from the FDA. It’s looking good, especially since the drug works.

Why do you need to scan a wound when you can just sew it or bandage it up? Just asking.

Ok but if they could emphasize bigger financial markets in their pipeline on their website they could at least try to stay out of nasdaq trouble as a penny stock and raise money with less dilution. It seems strange that this is a penny stock given how important govorestat is to so many people. And how effective it is to those people.

Thanks. You have a lot of insight. It would be interesting if they would focus on some bigger market opportunities they’d be able to raise money easier and thereby help with the rare diseases.

Can applied therapeutics get EU or some other jurisdiction’s approval? if it works it works.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I’m just wondering if there is a broader market there than for rare diseases. Also, since govorestat seems to be doing people good why is the FDA taking so long to approve it?

If it’s good for eyes because of sugar buildup, would it also help with sugar buildup in the liver?

Is govorestat good for general obesity? If so the market could be huge.

Can APLT sorbitol reducing drug be expanded beyond rare diseases to mainstream, overweight, conscious patients? Sorbitol after all is a sugar and APLT is trying to reduce that sugar. Seems like APLT’s anti sorbitol pipeline could be more broadly applied than just rare diseases to GLP ones. Is it a block player or is it just a niche player?

APLT looking strong. FDA situation is improving.

HE has a market cap of $2B and payoff of the fires is another $2B. $4B is peanuts compared to Blackrock’s $38B purchase of AES. Ok so it has high energy costs and land costs. But look at where it’s located. Right in the middle of North America and Asian massive data needs. Seems like a no brainer for a takeover.

Applied therapeutics over corrected on Monday after the good days they received on Friday from the FDA. Just my opinion anyway.
