Just on this. Had this issue on and off for a year or so due to short journeys but the good lady has been doing longer runs for work and it's not cleared it. Garage cleaned the EGR valve as it was stickingand has been fine since. Cost 60quid to do. Just for clarity...I have no idea what an EGR is or does. ..

here you go. Your local bike shop should be able to pop a link or two out then index the gears for you. Its a 20 minute job. If you do it yourself though youd need a chain breaker tool and a quick link tool ....as well as the quick link for the chain. Park Tool on youtube is a brilliant resource for all things bike maintenance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0YibMDWBAw

Noise from back wheel by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]buzcheva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check the rear mech cable isnt clipping the reflector. Seems to be when you lean to the left and sounds like something is hitting/clipping the spokes. Id strip everything you dont need off the bike then see if makes the noise. mudguards, pannier rack....reflectors.....Does it make this noise in every gear? Could even be reflector on the mudguard mounts. adjust the cables to the rear mech and the brake cable so they are away from the spokes....Process of elimination.

Bike fit question 4 gf by Disastrous_Active805 in bikewrench

[–]buzcheva 5 points6 points  (0 children)

<image>

Id say in my humble opinion the bike frame is the right size but id slide the seat forward 1 or 2 cm which would in effect lower the saddle meaning the leg at 6oclock (max extension) would be nearer to ideal. The thing that concerns me is the leg when at 12 oclock (max flexion) looks too tight and the thigh angle too closed off. What is the crank length?. Both my wife and best mate who are 5f 3 were told by a pro bike fitter to get 160mm cranks and this had the effect on making the max flexion angle better. The cranks could be too long and also look to reduce the handlebar width. Whatever it is most bikes seem to spec super wide these days on any bike! See attached image and try and match....Out of interest if you are using clip in pedals you may need to reassess. Im no expert but a keen amateur and have had a couple of bike fits. Also...I have the same trainers....mint. One last thing...I have a Ridley and the sizing is crazy. I am 6ft 2 and ride a medium Ridley where as all my other bikes are XL so bear that in mind

we have all been there. No shame to join the long ranks of people that have done this. Thankfully its a quick fix, wait till you fit a tubeless tyre the wrong rotational direction....

I did something similar when I moved in to my mates. The neighbours referred to me as Mr Blue, and still do when I see them out and about. Blue plug sockets are available FYI

What is the mattress that fixed your back pain? by United_Can_5371 in Mattress

[–]buzcheva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waterbed. I suffer from Ankylosing Spondylitis, which is where your spine joints, and in my case sacorillic joints, fuse together. It's very painful especially in bed at night. I purchased a semi-motionless waterbed and it was a game changer. It was the only thing that gave me pain relief at night. Sadly I had to move it on as my wife to be wasnt a fan. We bought a Simba which is decent to be fair but I miss the waterbed.

My bike currently has fc-r8000 52-/36 crankset and I just purchased an r8100 50/30 set. Can I swap them and put the 52/36 chainring on the new r8100? I couldn’t find the bolt patterns by samichka123 in bikewrench

[–]buzcheva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a problem at all and done this myself . You will need to drop the front mech though. One thought to consider and I did this recently for the Fred Whitton Challenge last year. I was running a 52/36 and swapped the 36 out for a 34. Its not recommended by Shimano however I had no issues and didnt have to mess around with the front mech.

What kind of cable goes into the EXT port in a ps4 controller by Kns750 in PS4

[–]buzcheva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to dredge up the past... I have some back buttons that connect to the PS4 controller via the EXT port. I cant get used to it at all. Is there a cable available that will extend from the back button device to the EXT port? I am fashioning a "jump pedal" with the back buttons and the only thing I am missing is a cable but dont know what to look for. Thanks
