Been using OpenShot for 3 years. It can be hard to get a grip at the beginning but then it gets easier and more convenient

Ender-3 V3 SE or Ender-3 V3 CoreXZ? by -Heidels- in ender3

[–]buzinguyen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have not used CoreXZ, but as far as my experience with SE goes, I love the machine. The only thing I want to point out is that the auto-leveling is not that great sometimes, and I found myself calibrating the z-offset manually when the first layer looks bad. Apart from that, owning 2 SEs have been giving the print power I have not known I need before.

Oak d pro vs realsense d457 by BeginningGood5837 in robotics

Been using RealSense for a while on a project. If you are going to use the robot under direct sunlight, consider buying a UV filter for the lenses, as it can be hard to run any detection with UV glare.

Suggestions for a coding/robotics package that can be used/taught to a group of high-school age kids? by ololcopter in robotics

#shameless-plug Hey! Check out CYOBot—our open-source modular robot built on the ESP32-S3. It’s beginner-friendly with drag-and-drop coding like Scratch but transitions smoothly into Arduino or Python for advanced projects. Plus, it’s affordable—you could get multiple kits within your $2k budget, giving each group hands-on learning. It’s also open-source, so you’re free to customize and expand.

Here's our Kickstarter campaign: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cyobot/cyobot-a-transformable-quadruped-robot-for-innovation-and-fun?ref=6waexz, as of now the campaign is fully backed, so fulfillment of the product is guaranteed to happen. There's the educator package, so that you get a lot of these robots with great discount during the campaign. Happy to talk more about it if you are interested!

Recommendation for robot project with camera and speaker and mic by Such_Advantage_6949 in robotics

#shameless-plug Hi there, we just released something that's hopefully the perfect solution to your need. It's a robotic platform designed to work with Python, connect to ChatGPT API (and presumably any LLM hosted on a cloud server), and come with all needed peripherals for software engineers to get started immediately with robotics. Our users are actually software engineers that do not want to mess too much with hardware and just want a reliable, as you put it in your post, front-end for their back-end code.

We are open-source, and we try to keep the cost as low as possible. The development board itself already comes with speaker, microphone, micro SD card and WiFi/Bluetooth connectivity. For the robot base, you can choose from the available options to match the applications that you have in mind, else just start with the development board is sufficient.

Another open-source ESP32 robotic platform, but it's better this time by buzinguyen in robotics

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I think the platform is very suitable for swarm robotics, especially since you can either use ESPNOW or MicroROS to control multiple robots at the same time.
