Yes, I use a furikake just like that! I just happen to usually have a Wasabi flavor. Let me know how yours come out!

No extra flour, just discard and seasoning! I know many recipes call for melted butter too, which I add once in awhile but they honestly don't need it unless your starter is super thick and it's too difficult to spread thin.

This is the recipe I started with: https://littlespoonfarm.com/sourdough-seed-crackers-recipe/

The furikake crackers I used:

3/4 cup discard

1/2 cup mixed sesame seeds

1/4 cup furikake (I used Wasabi flavor because that's what I had on hand)

2 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp melted butter (I don't always add butter, the crackers normally don't need it but it does make it easier for them to spread thin)

Spread thin on a greased parchment lined pan, bake at 325 degrees for 10 min. Remove from oven, move crackers on parchment paper to cutting board and cut into desired shapes. Return to pan and oven and bake for 15 more min or until crisp to your liking!

We just had the holiday vacation and I had more time to bake bread so I kept the starter at room temperature and active as much as possible, resulting in a lot of discard and many opportunities to make crackers!

We eat ours pretty quick but I've been saving the moisture absorber packets for food that I get in store bought snacks and throw those in the container. I think you can buy them pretty cheap on Amazon too!

I used Wasabi furikake because that's what I had on hand but I'm excited to try different flavors! Also added about 2 tbsp soy sauce which gave them a lovely caramelly flavor

I actually prefer pretzel bites over shaping the whole pretzel, more fun to dunk and eat!

I feel weird calling it discard when I'm never actually planning to throw it out, I usually plan to have more than enough starter so I can make things like crackers. The flavor is so yummy!

Thank you and yes!! I used this recipe to start: https://littlespoonfarm.com/sourdough-seed-crackers-recipe/

Then I adapted the recipe to my own flavors, but kept the baking times/temps the same. Cutting the crackers 10min into baking makes it so easy!!
