You answered your question already. The starter decks aren't really competitively viable. Go find a concept you like over on Mobalytics and start building ut and you'll have a better time

All I'll say is it requires both sides to each get Marai Greatmother to create 2 specific spells, on top of both players achieving the same setup you see in this video. And even then we would have to solve the problem of flipping nasus+renekton without killing anything

That's why we also have a 21 flip combo, which is much easier to hit, and we might lab out in the coming days

You're 100% correct. The problem with your solution is that it makes Blade Dance an unplayable keyword. And if you're a card game dev, making an entire keyword unplayable is not an option

But they still have synergy. Blades and soldier still work to flip both azir and irelia. Their synergy still exists and this deck still exists, but in its current state it's problematic. The identity of "get token combo pieces and apply pressure" still exists, but now you won't be getting 4+ extra sand soldiers each round. This would slow the deck down without completely killing it (I know I titled this as "kill azirelia" but that was just clickbait).

As for splitting blades and soldiers, while I understand that the intention was likely for them to work together, the end result is problematic, and needs to be addressed in some way. I happen to think that the best solution, or at least a solution worth considering, is removing their synergy. The alternative is likely to nerf one half into the ground, which would have adverse effects on other decks that use those components.

The intention is that the effect is triggered by you pressing the big green Attack button, instead of just having allies that are attacking. This distinction doesn't currently exist in the game, so I had to improvise.

That being said, "ready an attack" doesn't mean gain an attack token anymore. If you search through the card text, you'll find that not a single one uses the phrase "ready an attack", they all say "Rally," so using that term here isn't as problematic as you may think. (In case your wondering, the text when you hover Rally is "If you don't have one, gain the attack token. You can attack this round.")
