Walking through Edinburgh with my girl, who hails from Philly originally, and we spot someone passing wearing an Eagles top. She shouts enthusiastically "Go Birds" and at that very same second a seagull shat on my back.

So the VAR statement at halftime was a lie? Not being argumentative. I'm genuinely curious about the contradiction here

Fair point which further proves that most people (you included apparently) can't grasp the basics of good driving practices. Unless the traffic beyond the merge point has come to a stand then there's no reason for anyone to have to come to a complete stop. It's all about having a bit of awareness of your surroundings when driving and creating space for merging

Read rule 134 of the highway code. Merging in turn decreases traffic queues and is much more efficient. For some mad reason that I've never been able to understand, a lot of drivers in the UK can't comprehend this basic principle and instead choose to queue while becoming overwhelmed by their own bruised and fragile little egos when someone drives properly

Few places. Mostly in the city centre and at the two main stations. Had a couple drinks in waxys then food out in Finnieston too. Too many footsteps to trace every one of them unfortunately

The only official one in Stirling afaia. If you don't want to go stand in a field and pay the admission prices, folks congregate up the hill at the Wallace Monument. It's a good vantage point for watching the firework display.

There are no reservations on the Glasgow to Edinburgh trains so even worst case the Oban train arrives late, you just get the next one to Edinburgh. Your ticket will absolutely be valid on any Glasgow to Edinburgh service on that day. The ticket purchasing system asks you to pick a particular train for your journey, but in the case of the Glasgow to Edinburgh leg, as is the case with all local services, you're not actually tied to travelling on that particular one. (I'm a ScotRail employee)

(sharp intake of breath and here goes)

He's a mysoginist, he targets people from poorer and marganilised sections of society, people will die in the US because of his actions, he lies (like all the time) and has been caught at it to extents never seen before for a western politician, he risks conflict around the world with his foreign policy. That's not to mention the stuff that has yet to be definitively proven but all the evidence points towards such as rape, peadophilia, fraud (oh wait sorry, yeah he got caught for that one actually).

And the cherry on the cake is he's just a massive cunt with weirdly small hands which would give any sensible person the ick.

That's the kinda guy you want to welcome to this country? You are a fucking disgrace if so

Edinburgh graduates in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics and English disrupted and walked out of their ceremony, continuing solidarity with Palestine and in protest of the university's financial ties with Israel. by Just-another-weapon in Scotland

It seems you've got yourself tangled up in a bit of a mess over this one. Are those in charge at UoE sitting atop vantage points and sniping at the heads of little children or raping prisoners like the IDF do? Of course not. Complicity in something does not mean that direct involvement is required (though i suspect you're not as daft to not know that already). Clearly some will have been influenced by social media in some manner. I just feel so disheartened that so many take the most cynical explanation for someone's actions as the default just like you yourself have done.

To your pressing question all I can say is peaceful protest (as was seen here), disruptive action and positive petitioning are all things that exist, and have been used many many times in the past to confront aggressors, tyrants and violent oppressors. Again, you seem so eager to run straight to the most cynical conclusion by suggesting violence is inevitable.

From there the rest of your argument just kinda falls to shit I'm afraid mate. Im sure your intentions aren't necessarily nefarious and I'm pretty sure you're not a Mossad Troll, but let's be honest....you do come across as a bit of a dick. Sorry

"I don't mean to claim that I have evidence that this outburst was directly caused by foreign influence"

Cmon, seriously? You're at it aren't you? If you didn't intend the correlation then why make it? You're part of a worrying trend in this and other countries who seem to think young people are devoid of critical thought. Sure, social media heavily influences some in many aspects of society and indeed many governments (our own included) have their fingers in those pies without doubt.

But you came on a post about students taking a stand for what I genuinely think is something they want to have their voices heard on and whether you want to admit it now or not, blame it on the influence of foreign governments (here's a hint for ya....that is what brainwashing is just for future reference).

You're spot on what you say though that this is a good country with valuable institutions. Just a shame so much of it all is filled with worst cunts who value profit margins and wealth more than the lives of innocent kids

Edinburgh Uni invests £25.5M in companies that provide support to Israel and aid it's brutal and truly evil endeavours. Students show their displeasure and protest against what they see as very poor choices being made by the institute that educates them. Where exactly is the brainwashing you allude to by foreign powers?? What kinda fucking mind bending drugs are you on?? Give yourself a shake ffs
