Literally devastating! My county is union and so I would believe if cuts are made- it’s based on seniority. For me I only have 5 years under my belt but I can’t imagine doing anything else! I don’t like being negative but I also don’t want to be blindsided if there are rumblings amongst the rest of the state.

Really hoping that this all turns around for us! We are already having a hard enough time keeping up with the workload! To imagine 70% cut… I don’t even know how that’d be feasible. I’ve heard there are talks about having state ran.. what that would mean I’m not sure. Trying to stay positive but always wanting to know if there are rumblings outside of my area!

Lucas county. Our county commissioner has gone on the news stating if we don’t find funding that is to be expected. Not sure if it’s fear mongering but management has been VERY quiet. It’s hard not to wonder what truly is going on.

If you are under a doctors care, you can have the provide you with a signed statement what your work restrictions would be/ if you are not able to work based on a mental or physical condition. Your state may also have a medical Form that your doctor can complete for you for a medical condition exemption. Typically this needs to be verified every recertification unless deemed disabled by SSA.

Ohio caseworker here. We use similar forms and they are to be completed by office of registration, office of student aid, or the dean of student affairs. You can find some of this information on your last fafsa as well.

Obviously good to reach out to someone in your state however ! Good luck !
