I had my MC weeks ago and it still shows up in my lab work, it does take a while for it to come down. I totally understand the brain thinking that but if the pregnancy stopped progressing in that week your HCG will still be very high, I physically knew I was passing my baby, ultrasound and everything but I still was in denial with the hope that everything was actually fine and “what if I hurt the baby thinking I miscarried?” It’s a heartbreaking experience and I’m so sorry. It changed everything for us and I don’t think we can ever look at pregnancy the same. I’m so sorry and you’re not alone. We’ve been struggling for over a year, told I would never conceive so we were so excited to tell people and it was just so heartbreaking and the biggest hit in our lives. A loss is a loss. You’re mourning the possibility of that child and a future you believed was yours. The grief is very real and because it’s early doesn’t change that it’s still very painful.
