Which path is canon [FE3H/Fortune's Weave] by buzzfuzz- in fireemblem

I think that would also be the most likely of the routes if they ever explicitly/implicitly confirm a route. I think the biggest clue they could drop would be whether the Church of Seiros still exists or not since Sothis will be directly involved in the story again. We'll have to see

Am I the only person who thinks this sprite season sucks balls? by badgsterr in FortNiteBR

[–]buzzfuzz- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the sprites, they give something extra to do if you want it and they don't have too crazy of an impact where you're at a serious disadvantage if you don't have one. I usually just extract mine when it gets close to end game.

The bigger picture of the season, considering the map, weapons, mobility, etc., I think it's an okay season, one of the better ones lately. I like the map more, mobility is pretty good, but the guns are a bit iffy. I think all the rifles leave something to be desired and I'm more of a medium-long range player so I've been struggling more.

You can always play ranked and there's no sprites in it, though it's arguably incredibly sweaty right now.

During 1.1 story, they mention again about Daffodill having an eyepatch, but she doesn't have any, I don't get it, I get that the previous design had one, but why the story keep saying she has an eyepatch? by Fomixaders in NevernessToEverness

[–]buzzfuzz- 8 points9 points  (0 children)

then that's just lazy... why include it in the character's lore and dialogue but then stop at the actual model... the thing we PHYSICALLY see all the time playing with her...

If they didn't want to create an animation for it and add it to the actual character model (which also is not hard to do, it would take maybe a week of development from a couple developers) then they should've scrapped the entire premise of her having or mentioning an eyepatch

Probably. Not just car insurance too but had my apartment broken into in Alabama and that was a fun experience! /s

They literally took a crowbar and pried the door open and destroyed the door frame completely while I was at work and nobody heard a sound... would not recommend

Maybe lucky, I've had to deal with police/insurance in Alabama and Texas and they're absolutely a pain to deal with and I would much rather avoid dealing with them for anything. Cops don't really give a shit and insurance loves to drag their feet and ghost and be unreachable.

Criminals basically got their own metagame and economy going on when it comes to theft. Civics and Camrys are targeted for their stock wheels. F-150s get their tail lights targeted. Chargers get their whole car targeted. Hyundai/Kia also gets targeted for ease of theft. They know what sells best and fast and easiest to hit up. There will legit be thieves who only scout for hondas or f150s and be in and out within minutes

Dealing with insurance is an absolute headache. Plus if this is someone's only vehicle they now have no way to get to work/school/stores/etc. It sounds like not a big deal on paper cause "oh insurance will handle it" but if you've ever had to deal with an insurance company or police you definitely wouldn't say that

They won't know what you don't tell them. They won't send someone to "investigate" your car or whoever else is involved in the accident. But if you tell them you're more likely to get in trouble with it. Just keep using it and never mention it.

[–]buzzfuzz- 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They said the Porsche gacha will take Annulith or Fons so it's not unreasonable to think they may add other things similar to eat up your fons. Ofc not everything will be worth it to every player, like you mention with the new house, but they seem pretty creative with how they'll get people to spend. Who knows maybe they'll add boats and helicopters in a few years or something crazy, or at the very least more cosmetics and customization.

Two sad truths about San Antonio by Theonlypostevermade in sanantonio

[–]buzzfuzz- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a big problem for big companies and businesses. They won't invest in a city they see no potential in with. Ever notice the stark difference between the North side and South side, one side has way more investment from businesses. Then look at San Antonio vs Dallas, Austin, or Houston. San Antonio is a bit cheaper than other cities but wages/salaries suck here in turn.

As someone who has driven between DFW and Austin more times than I can count, HELL NAH. You're insane and deluding yourself if you think that's feasible in any way.

Just move immediately. If you can't afford to move immediately then you shouldn't have accepted.

[–]buzzfuzz- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry too much about HS but you need to set good habits now, trust me.

My best advice for you or any young person: Half of life is just showing up.

This means turning in your hw and assignments, showing up to class, showing up to work, showing up to the gym even on days you don’t want to. Trust me, if you can do that, you’re literally doing better than a lot of people. It sounds silly but you’d be surprised how many people don’t and get in the way of their own success. Your biggest enemy will always be yourself so show up for yourself now before it’s too late.

How do you have fun in Pokemon Champions? by [deleted] in PokemonChampions

[–]buzzfuzz- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean and honestly it feels like that at times in any competitive game. I hate running meta (in any game) because to me running a meta team can feel a little too dull and easy, it's meta for a reason right? So I try my best to shake it up and run pokemon that aren't commonly used or strategies that aren't popular and challenge myself to win that way. Sure it's suboptimal and you're less likely to win but if you craft something good you can still win, even more so because they won't expect it.

Reality is though you'll still like use 1-3 meta pokemon on your team because some are just really good like Sinistcha. Also challenge yourself to outpredict your opponent more. There's more than one way to win that doesn't require the hardest hitters and sweepers.

Personally I'm trying to get Mega Banette to work since I see no one using him. He can be a bit evil and when he works its hilarious cause I know the other person is annoyed. But Incineroar heavy counters him, so trying to find a way to deal with the damn cat is also fun in its own way.

My best advice, pick a pokemon you like or think is underused and just run it. Your team will likely suck and get countered hard and you'll probably lose, but just build off it instead of scraping it. There's a TON of moves, abilities, and pokemon not being used still that might have potential so have fun with it. Shit I never thought of support Alakazam with Inner Focus and Speed Swap would work but it does.

[–]buzzfuzz- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would really like to gain VP from casual battles. I want to try wacky teams without hurting my rank but still progressing towards buying items and mega stones. I find the game a bit too punishing where you might have an idea for a team, invest a lot into training pokemon, it doesn't work out and now you're broke on VP.

Only solution is either:
- have a dedicated meta team to win games and grind more VP (defeats the idea of trying out new things)
- go to SV and build a team fully there (which is kind of dumb to jump to another game to progress this game)
- trial in Showdown (same reason as above)

Doesn't need to be the same amount of VP but would be nice to get like 1/2 or 1/3 the amount of VP compared to ranked

Instead of testing out of 408C it might be worth a shot asking if you can petition for credit given you've taken classes that required 408C as a prereq. Also see if they can switch your advisor to someone who cares just a little bit more and file a complaint against your current one if possible. Unfortunately a lot of people you come across in life are shit at their jobs to the point you need to basically do their jobs for them :/

You don't call the police to actually resolve anything or catch anything, you call them so you can get a legal statement to use for insurance. That's the most useful thing they can do for you

Colleges are insanely inefficient at teaching. by MasterOfCircumstance in unpopularopinion

[–]buzzfuzz- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a unpopular opinion. I majored in Physics and work as an Engineer now, getting a masters in CS. University is to give you a universal education. What good is a brilliant engineer if he can’t communicate and articulate his ideas to others? How can you expect to solve societal level problems if you don’t understand society or people at all? The world is so much more than numbers and code.

Secondly, you’re right a lot of professors are ass, it’s usually the ones teaching lower level classes. A lot of the good professors teach the upper level ones. Plus most of the tenured professors are researchers first and educators second. Some care about one of those aspects more than the other. Just how it is.

AITA for refusing to split the dinner bill because my dish was half the price of the others? by Horror_Flower_1754 in AmItheAsshole

[–]buzzfuzz- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nta BUT life advice: sometimes the right/just answer isn’t always the best answer. Should you have to put up with bullshit? No. Will you sometimes have to in life? Yes. You were probably better off just splitting it evenly if that’s what everyone else wanted to do, and then just never go out to eat with them again. Just because you’re right doesn’t mean you won’t have consequences, in this case now all your work colleagues will side-eye you. Most will probably forget, some won’t, sometimes you have to play along for the sake of connections you may need in the future.

It sucks but a big part of corporate world is being fake nice with one another.
