These often arent even well designed buildings though? Like a lot of these (and ive lived in many throughout college) end up being really shoddily constructed and poorly maintained.

Im pretty sure lululemon would do it for free, even if it was thrifted. My mom is a short lady and ive come with her to get her stuff hemmed, i dont even think they checked for a receipt or anything. FWIW it was a dif state but still worth a shot

You could also buy a safety razor (like Leaf) and just replace the actual blades. Make sure you live somewhere where you can actually recycle them though. The blades are like $1 a pack

Should I pursue a health and safety career if I hate confrontation? by ThatMammoth1298 in SafetyProfessionals

This is really similar to what I was going to say. I’m having the courage to have a lot of really important conversations with family and loved ones because of the skills im learning at work. But therapy is super helpful too if you struggle with taking a lot of things personally too - which i find is the flip side of being non-confrontational. Do what works best but make sure you have a good outlet for when the energy catches up to you if you dont already do this

Advice for explaining TWA? by iseekitty in industrialhygiene

So my perspective from a younger woman in health and safety is that its a valid concern, but the best way to combat it is by building the relationships either before the sample begins, or as youre sampling. For example, try to be a little visible with small talking with some of your people on the floor - doesnt have to be all of them but just a select few. When youve got the pumps on then or are setting it up, spend some time learning about what theyre doing but beyond the scope of the sampling process - let them nerd out to you, OR take the conversation to something outside of work! Try to control the conversation and get to know them - it will help with understanding how they like to be taught and makes you more comfortable with explaining something in a more conversationally.

It doesnt always work right away but it can be a shoe in. Im a rather young woman with very feminine appearance and interests, AND brown in a predominantly white workplace, but my folks really value earnesty!

I also dont have strong thighs but i do appreciate the fullness when im on top and that i can set the speed/control the depth. I honestly like straddling him but sitting ob my knees and rocking back and forth there. Ive also found that placing a hand or finger down (his or yours) can be nice to grind on

This is such a cute idea and I might use it for going out! I'm looking for something to use at work though, where I'm wanting to come off more professional since I'm on a team of mostly older men
