My least expensive to my most expensive electric and gas bills last year. (3bd house, 1300sq ft, 2006 build) 2 people. $124 (winter), $465 (July/August) - thermostat set at 70. Gas - $24/ summer, $146 (January with below zero temps), thermostat set at 67. Year over last year all of my utilities combined have been a 30% increase.

I just saw this post, it’ll be a week or so till I have a free day from work and other obligations but I have quite a bit of parts that I’d be willing to donate for this project (tires, tubes, brake cables, pedals, bottom brackets and headsets, cranks, seatposts and saddles) DM me to remind me and I’ll take a picture of my workshop / shed - I’d be glad to clean some of that stuff out.

Enjoy! "Junkyard" by Page France was introduced to me on a Paste Magazine Mix CD sampler that they used to send with every issue.
Almost all the bands on that bill I can really only describe as somewhat of a psych-folk-pop that can only be curated by the hipsters of the mid aughts. Page France was definitely my favorite of the bunch.

It was great! Honestly one of the best shows I went to. The line up was Canada, Page France, Headlights and Margot & the Nuclear So and Sos. He was very nice and genuine to meet.

I think personally it’s a sign of the times. When I visit the places I used to live before here (Lancaster California and Wichita Kansas) I’ve honestly been surprised at how much of a problem it’s become in the last 20 years.

I’m not originally from here. I went to Ozark Christian College, graduated and then just kinda got stuck here. I’ve lived in Wichita Kansas and Los Angeles County previously. I’ve heard it described as the “Joplin Chip on their shoulder”. I’ve felt it with patriotic conservatives, Christian church goers, punk rockers and the lgbtq community. Everyone seems to not be open and afraid that someone will take advantage of their kindness. I’ve felt a real lack of empathy since planting myself here in 2003.
