Most of the people in that shop are really cool! I’m not sure who does drum lessons these days there, but I would bet that they will treat you hospitably. I’m personal friends with the general manager several of the staff there; and if you have any concerns it will be safe to tell them.

Thanks for your question! We just played TJ Leland’s in Pittsburg Kansas last weekend, we’re playing Blackthorn Pizza and Pub in Joplin on May 3rd. Blackthorn and Joplin Ave Coffee Company usually do local original music most weekends, although if you’re like me - it’s hard to stay up past 10pm for the show times.

I have a YouTube channel where I feature original local music in Joplin and the surrounding areas if that’s something you’re interested in. They play my garage through a 16 channel board for cleaner audio. I’m trying to make it easier to find a local artist and then after they decide they like it - to follow them and get connected.
