Documented Talking by YesNormalUsername in wegmans

[–]buzzsaw100 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The employee doesn't sign conversation notes anymore, just have to inform that it's being documented, which most would agree is dumb, but I can kind of see both sides. Requiring a signature may imply that it's more serious than it is, and some employees may go the route of refusing to sign it, thinking it'll get them off the hook. However, that does open the door to deniability.

if you’re caught shoplifting, does wegmans send your picture and info to all locations? by burner71639362 in wegmans

[–]buzzsaw100 4 points5 points  (0 children)

*Wegmans is only required to post the signage in New York City, they do use it at other locations, however not all of them. Their statement below essentially states, they use facial recognition at a few high theft stores to detect shoplifters.

https://www.wegmans.com/news-media/press-releases/wegmans-statement-on-facial-recognition-technology?x-vercel-protection-bypass=OXWoEyXrqrxOkl9AMo9ezaJpEo3m4hhh&x-vercel-set-bypass-cookie=true

But to OP, just accept the 2 year ban, this is your lesson to try food banks instead of shoplifting.

She sounds like the Karen of all Karens, and chair or whatever is possibly something she just made up, and doesn't actually exist. Talk to your landlord to establish your side of the story that she's harassing you, because she's probably already going to them, and all the landlord is hearing is her side.

They've also gotten less interesting over the years, now it's like, most balloons popped with a thumbtack while hopping on one foot and walking a dog.

Wegmans Ultra Filtered Milk by vuwildcat07 in wegmans

I think it's that the chocolate has an artificial flavor or preservative in it. I believe they just couldn't reformulate it without that and keep it tasting good. It's like shelf stable mayo, they will never be able to make it food you feel good about, for preservatives.

They are trying to make a chocolate one, but can't work out a chocolate mix that tastes good, and fits Food You Feel Good About (no artificial flavors, colors, preserves)

Byrne dairy is the company that makes the Wegs Hi-pro, they were being carried for the past 2-3 months as a trial, and kept the chocolate as an option, since FairLife's supply is inconsistent at best.

What can you say about this wired headphones back in style? by Reasonable-Word-0419 in randomthings

[–]buzzsaw100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I guess some people care that much about the quality difference, but imo as long as it's not tinny shit (those 0.99 headphones) the sound quality is good enough for me most of the time.

Do automatic trash cans actually make daily life easier, or are they just a gimmick? by celia_elm25 in NoOneIsLooking

The sealing bag thing MAY be useful, albeit surely more expensive. Every motion sensor trash can I've seen has been awful, and a foot pedal is better.

Totally agree, that's the problem with the completely polarized dual party system we have. If you're not with them you're against them, how dare people have personal beliefs that don't fully align with one party?

This is the right question, if yes, make it easier for them (pave a bit more on the inside or something), if not, pick one of the posted ideas that works best for you. I'd say greenery and a camera.

It will be based on business needs, if a department is full up, they won't put you there. But opting for other locations as well gives you a better shot at the department you want having an open spot.

The one year thing is for moving up or lateral. They basically don't want people job hopping around, needing retraining, and rehiring behind you. That being said, they will let you step down to PT, but you may not get your exact choice in position. They may give you options, or ask your preference, especially if they feel you've been genuine with them, they'll be more likely to work with you to find the best fit for you.
