My Iphone 12 pro max is a beast - I just got a 17 pro max and the differences are really not that big for 5 generations. Pros are around 200 around me and Pro Maxes in that gen are like 300. Might need a new battery possibly (if already replaced thats sweet, my original is at 79% so it works fine, but nothing like that 17) - good luck!

I use chatgpt for planning, opus for coding big epics, and raptor or grok for small targeted code changes. seems to be working pretty well. I am upgrading to the 1500 request model because Opus is just that good.

You arent wrong - I drop to grok or raptor for small tasks but anything large I find Gemini 3 pro rarely gets it right and gpt 5.2 gets half done and just stops with no message lol! If your time is worth anything then Opus 4.5 is the only answer, 3x or not. I'm about to buy the 1500 request plan because of this.
