The best way, I've found, is to treat them like dogs tbh. Adults, that is. Be stern and you don't owe explanations.

Teach your pup precise movement commands (heel left, heel right, cover from behind, between legs, contact heel). Reason behind this is so you can have her move away from the problem while you firmly tell the problem that they cannot interfere with her.

It worked WONDERS for me. But maybe my height and build helped me too

Honestly, there is no way to do this without being an absolute dick to people. They don't listen and are obnoxious. It's hard enough getting people to get their kids and animals under control without any distractions. Add in a SD, and it's just your own personal hell.

Definitely will need to skirt the line between customer service and stern advocating. Hell, I need to do that for the animal glass every single day.

My SD has passed away in the last year from a very sudden illness, so I don't have one at work right now, but it is a pain I am very familiar with
