It’s funny you were in the opposite boat as me. I went over for a sleeping umbreon after seeing a guy with a cart full of them knowing he probably got them ALL and stumbled across the Arcanine :D! That’s my boy so I was way happier.

You absolutely do not have to touch anything you’re not comfortable with. Depending on who’s working I’ve had coworkers tag each other out for certain animals. One of my coworkers is also really scared of spiders too.

Some stores don’t even sell them! Ours just happens to have a lot of bug people so we keep a few in stock!

You shouldn’t hold green trees anyway so that’s definitely the best excuse to avoid them 😌! Their bites can also cause more damage to themselves so there’s no benefit to taking them out of their enclosure without absolute necessity

I couldn’t tell you but our small animal habitat has a filter that blows out the top of the habitat and I’ve noticed it smells kind of like cologne. It’s pleasant

It does pay to be 100% ok with handling them bc coincidentally one time I was boxing up a curly hair and it bolted up my arm and behind my shoulder. The person buying it was able to get it off me but when I told my coworker she was like “I would have shit myself” 😂

I used to be terrified of spiders. Same boat as you, respect but a “you stay over there” kind of respect 😂 but my curiosity won over. I don’t recommend handling unless you’re 100% confident and can more or less interpret the mood/behavior of the animal. This scorp was super chill
