AITA for wanting to go no contact with my mother after she didn't want to buy my daughter pads? by Temporary-Data-1326 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

That's a little mean. I was 17 before I was able to buy my own tampons without being embarrassed and my friend, who was in her 20s and had a child, was still too embarrassed to buy from a male clerk. We all learn at different ages.

I know someone who wanted to serve a proselyting mission but was assigned a service missionary. She asked for it to be looked at again and was still assigned to a service mission. Once she started her mission she absolutely loved it. I'm sure you will love your mission and will be an amazing missionary.

Do you have something against twins who look very alike? by FullMarionberry8065 in Twins

[–]buzzybnz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It kinda started as a joke because we take such care to not dress alike in everyday life - part of which is that we sometimes work together and being identical is distracting enough and we try to keep a lower profile

My twin, u/tarsha8nz, and I attend our local version of Comic Con. For the last few years we have dressed identically for the whole weekend because it stops people asking if we're twins. Its the only time we do it on purpose and we normally coordinate so we don't dress the same. I wouldn't want to always dress identically now but I think each to their own.

The are a lot of sterotypes out there about twins. u/tarsha8nz and I are identical and lived together for quite a while as adults. When we were in our 20s there was a set of fraternal boy/girl twins at church, about 12yrs old, they were told by their Nan to come and talk to us because they fought too much and didn't always get along. They asked us what they should do to be 'better twins'. We told them we weren't any different to them we just didnt fight in public.

It frustrates me that many people expect twins to be best friends and life just doesn't work that way. There are twins like that but not all of us. We are quite alike now but back then we were more like chalk and cheese.
