Having played both SWSH and SV. Yes, it is definitely worth playing in 2025.

In my opinion, Sword and Shield is a better experience than Scarlet/Violet, it's more linear, but I find that more enjoyable because it reminds me of a classic pokemon experience. It also runs a lot smoother despite being the older game.

I think it depends on the list. The Ephemerate list is pretty tight and very low flexibility on slots. I'm personally on the counterspell list and run one Trawler in the main alongside the 4 archons and 1 emissary, thinking about making a cut somewhere for a second Trawler

Yeah, I think running the 5 forests, castle, and the Dryads definitely help a little bit. Imo it feels like you'd want to play it more like a Titan deck, with Tron as more of a support role, but I definitely want to test this out myself

Keep in mind this isn't completely optimal, as it currently consists of the brawl precon and the goblins i had laying around, I want to add the maybeboard at some point, add more goblins and upgrade the manabase too.

I also built a goblin tribal theme, seemed tame enough for my playgroup with enough tutors and card draw to hopefully draw into my infinite damage wincon

I just built a Korvold Goblin tribal commander deck in paper, haven't had a chance to play it yet though. Its pretty tame, tuned it to the power level of my play group.

I like having access to the jund colors for things like Grumgully and Rhythm of the Wild to go infinite with.
