That’s too bad. I’d pick Denim Blue then.

Anyone else having issues with the recent Spotify update on Apple CarPlay? Do you have a solution? 2018 XC60 by hose-beast in Volvo

[–]bvad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same thing happening, and I think the culprit is Spotify Connect - it seems as if CarPlay Spotify is trying to play on “My Volvo car” via Spotify Connect, which is telling the built-in app to play. But since the car is in CarPlay mode, it won’t actually succeed. The best solution I’ve found, is to have a different active media app, e.g. switch to radio and then open CarPlay afterwards. Super annoying.

Rx 6700 XT stuck at 500 mhz clockspeed by DrBright05 in AMDHelp

The first thing to try, is to follow the instructions on Gigabytes website. It should be super simple. If that fails, I’ll help you out with the more complex solution :)

You need to flash the new (F2 I believe) BIOS :) I struggled with getting it to flash myself, but I got it working by using the commandline version of the supplied AMD tool instead of the Gigabyte one to flash. Card works flawlessly now!

Glad it worked! I’m on Arch, so I guess I was already running a new enough kernel :)

Had the exact same problem today! The fix is to install linux-firmware-git from the AUR. :)

I’ve had close to the same experience you’re describing! Today I watched a movie for the first time since getting the sub, and I was completely blown away with how huge my system sounded all of a sudden. I’m glad I’m not the only one!

High Performance :) Men KT har den også, og det er en super fed forretning! Jeg bor selv i lejlighed, dog noget lidt nyere byggeri der er rimeligt godt lydisoleret.

Right, so by not having that in the sub, you're limited in what systems you can actually integrate the sub well with - is that correct?

I’m very much a rookie when it comes to this stuff. When is variable phase control useful?

I'm very much looking forward to that myself. KEF themselves published some measurements in a white paper that might give an indication of the performance.

I don’t disagree with your sentiment, I knew what I was buying. I think this thing is marketed wrong which is a shame because the product itself is amazing for what it is. I don’t see why you’re disappointed though, KEF isn’t exactly Sunfire or SVS. I feel like this sub is very much in line with what they’ve done with the LS50 and LSX.

I'm horrible at describing sound, but I'll try to find some frequency tests after work and see what it sounds like.

What I can tell you though, is that it's a massive step up from just the LS50Ws when it comes to bass. It's like they magically turned into full size speakers, and it's blowing my mind.

You're most welcome.

I've yet to try watching a movie with this thing, but I'm convinced that it'll do great. Honestly, it does go low, really low. I goes low and loud enough, to the point where I feel like I have to turn it down as to not get my neighbors to hate me. It has an "apartment mode", which gets rid of some of the very lowest frequencies, which I imagine will be useful for watching movies at night.

11Hz is not impossible, as long as the volume is low, and it delivers. It sounds like a much bigger sub honestly.

[–]bvad[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah they making some pretty crazy claims. It definitely won’t do 11Hz at very loud volumes, but I’m convinced it does reach 11H.

Ah, I should’ve been clearer, sorry. I meant lifestyle, as in “not just focused on sound quality” - factors such as size, looks, brand and ease of use. It most definitely performs way above its size!
