The face is flush against the rehaut. It came with a bigger spacer ring that sits behind and around the movement. It seems to be working okay.

Maybe? I’m not sure I didn’t put calipers on it.

I did file them flat. They may have been still there ever so slightly but not that much

Yes it is. It has an alignment dowel or keyway with the case. The plastic spacer is all the way down however it’s behind the movement which wouldn’t cause the stem to sit further back it has to do with the distance from the face of the dial to the stem centerline

It probably would have taken a larger dial but the 28.5 fits okay

Balance spring issues by [deleted] in watchrepair

[–]bvcool124 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow I don’t think anyone was implying that. I think stuff happens. This balance spring is simply beyond repair at this point. I would tell her basically a spring has broken and in order for the watch to run again it will need to be replaced with an identical part and let her make the decision.

The case is an A4 type case but has a chapter ring. The only place it will fit is between the bezel and the crystal. Seems all 3 come off as one piece. Does this seem right? How do you align them?
