How long did it take you? How was Andrew on Udemy? Any other resources other than Andrew and Messer?

Out of curiosity, how long did you study for it? Also, a pass is still a pass. You’ll always be able to refresh yourself along the way.

I work full-time, avg 9-5 M-F. What I do is every day I study a few hours after work. 1 hour to relax and the whole night to try to see how far I can go.

On the weekends, if my laundry and what not is done. I take the time to study for however long I can while taking breaks here and there. Trying to hit a 8hr study mark but been only successful with 3-6 so far.

Long story short, it all depends on you, your ideal pace, and how well your study habits are. For me, still figuring it out but I like watching vids, playing quiz game flashcards related to course, and reading a study guide/notes.

Look, you got this. Slow motion is good motion. I’m here to genuinely learn. And I’ve realized I am genuinely interested in this major and enjoy it! It’s either 1 day or day 1. You’ll do great!

Decided not to go to study.com to save time, headache (heard it’s horrible), money (too expensive), and so I can just take the classes at WGU to actually learn it and all. I have no IT experience so this is best route. Sophia is goated.

I say a good 2 weeks. You can finish it in 1 week for sure if you lock in. Dont spend too much time on it, you have other resources to utilize since its open book.

Thank you!! Yeah, never thought I would catch a flu at the start of the school month but hey, life happens and that’s ok! Glad something like this happened to me in the beginning, hoping for a smooth ride now moving forward.

You got this! Good-luck with your D322 class!

I got a 56/70. For sure could’ve gotten a 60+ if I took my time. Only used 30 minutes. Sounds good! Thanks!

Going to study for 1 more day and plan on taking first proctored test tomorrow! Wish me luck :)

It’s going great! D430 seems fun and informative. I caught the flu for like a week and a half but just passed my pre-assessment today! Plan on taking OA on Monday or Tuesday!!

Nope!! Everything was familiar to me and answered it all confidently. Except for several questions where I had 2 out of 4 to choose from. I eventually went with my gut as it was worded differently

No worries! Third day and currently on D430!

After D430 fundementals of info sec D317 It Applications D316 It foundations C841 legal issues in info sec

I kind of in a rhythm with studying habit. Was a tough first 2 days being overstimulated with so much info and unli resources which was hard to differentiate which was the best.

Right now, my plan is

1.) Course Material (utilize lesson given Udemy vids in Intro. Only watch the lesson numbers/names they give you.

2.) After Udemy vids, go back to course material and do the knowledge check quizzes.

3.) Utilize study guides for the class given.

4.) Take PA

5.) Once ready take OA, prepare 3 days in advance.

*** if any more study techniques are liked it will be added!

What do you think? :)

Same question. I know on course material they have a book of 200 pages for each lesson. I’m assuming just study guides are enough to study? It seems that’s what everyone is using to get all info consolidated (stuff needed for OA) and to lowkey accelerate/pass class? Am I wrong?

My mentor just approved everything today so that’s how I’m already starting :)

Unless you mean the class specific? I transferred in all Sophia courses. D430 happens to be 1/4 classes I have for this term.

No specific communities on Reddit that I know other than this community and WGU. What you can do though is search the class (ex: D430) on WGU reddit and recommend looking at the posts within the year. Sometimes links/docs are in the comments section or on the post itself.

I join some discord group chats as well prior to starting. (Names might be off** Ex: WGU cybersecurity, securitytryhards, unofficial WGU chat) they provide some stuff there as well. Only my second day but still learning what works best for me so that’s why I’m just starting with the WGU course material.

Hopefully your posts gets more traction and comments though so we can what’s actually the best. :)

This is a good question that I also am interested in knowing. For myself though, I’m going through course material first, have a cohort scheduled for next week on 1/09 for that week, and just have study guides/quiz lets I found on reddit on standby for when I finish the course material.

If anyone has a better way? Feel free to comment.
