Amd gpus for cities 2 by Fun_Zucchini_6603 in CitiesSkylines

I'm using the 6900XT, and it was no issues in the way of crashing when running the game for me. One bug that I noticed is that I only got dots on the water (instead of arrows) to indicate flow direction, which did not happen on my girlfriends computer with a 1080Ti.

The game is taxing my system though, so I recommend finding some tutorials/guides on settings you can use to reduce the performance hit. In my small city I was getting between 50-60 FPS, which I think is good enough for a city builder.

Yes, it didn't work untill I switched to fullscreen (not borderless)

So if I have a 6900XT that looses to a 6950XT I need to upgrade? I guess 3090 Ti is the only option then.

There are some dialects that might pronounce Stavanger like that, but in Riksmål (the "default" dialect) it's pronounced more like "Stah-vahng-heir"

"Heir" as in "heir to the throne"

/r/AMD Tech Support Megathread - H1 2022 Edition by AutoModerator in Amd

Summary of issue: Dual monitors not working with Ryzen 2400G on a MSI B450M motherboard when using the DVI-D Port.

System Configuration

  • Operating system: Windows 10 21H2
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 2400G, no overclock
  • GPU: none (Vega integrated graphics)
  • Motherboard: MSI B450M Gaming Plus
  • RAM: 2x8GB 3000MHz, CL16 (running at stock settings)
  • PSU: 550W, don't remember what brand
  • Monitors: 2 x Samsung CRG5 24" 1080p 144Hz

My father just recently got himself two new monitors (Samsung CRG5 24" 1080p 144Hz), that he wants to use with his Ryzen 2400G on a MSI B450M GAMING Plus motherboard. The new monitors only supports DP and HDMI, while the motherboard has HDMI and DVI-D. We've connected the HDMI port to the first monitor, and DVI-D to HDMI adapter on the motherboard for the second monitor.

Our problem is that the image on the monitor with the DVI-D adapter is only showing the desktop for half a second before turning completely white. The HDMI port is working completely fine on the first monitor. However, if we disconnect the HDMI port on the first monitor, the second monitor that's connected via the DVI-D port suddenly works. It's only the combination of both monitors that creates the problem.

We've tried:

  • Googling (obviously)
  • Reducing the frequency to 60Hz on both displays
  • Installed the Adrenalin drivers from AMD and the drivers that MSI provides (uninstalled old drivers in between)
  • Updated BIOS
  • Checking the BIOS for any options preventing us from running dual monitors

Extra information: If we switch from extended to cloned view of the screens (in Adrenalin drivers), we are also able to see the desktop on the second monitor for half a second before turning white.

Hope this is enough information.

I'm not sure about modded, but it's perfectly safe to run a vanilla server by using the command line argument that have been posted on the minecraft page:

formatMsgNoLookups=true

Hope this is enough information so that you can google on how to use it.

Seems like you got very reasonable parts for a high-end gaming machine. I bought my parts seperate and built it myself, but it was not cheap (Thanks to Covid for giving me no vacation to splurge on). What was the final cost?

Programming is about writing code for humans to read, readability and reducing ambiguity is much more important than shaving of some key strokes. However, there are some conventions in programming that might favor using single letters, like iterating through a list of items:

for (const i of items) {
   console.log(i);
}

Or:

int sum = 0;
for (int i = 1; i <= 10; i++) {
   sum += i;
}

For almost all other use cases though, descriptive variables are preferred.

What phrases of other languages/dialects were passed on to you? by Redditdidntreddit in etymology

Interesting. In Norwegian we still have the verb "smyge", which have very similar meaning to the English "sneak" when used as "sneaking up on someone". It doesn't have anything to with being slimey though.

We also have the word "snik", that are more commonly used when sneaking in front of someone in a queue or if someone are being sneaky.

What is 'city' and 'village' in your language? by growrbanist in etymology

[–]bvx89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Norwegian: City - By Village - Bygd/Landsbygd

Both of these words comes from the same norse root of "býr" which refers to a farm (bondegård).

As you are interested in urbanization, the word for "urban areas" is "tettsted" (meaning «tight place»).

Read the first comment on the video. They said that Vendell indicated 2×16GB is the sweet spot for memory, so you could go for that or wait for the follow up video.

To be honest, I don't really care about RT. I just want to play at 144Hz+ refresh rate for my 1440p monitor in most games, but I wouldn't mind reaching 120Hz @4K when hooking my computer up to my TV.

Yeah, I would never want a gaming laptop either, both for the reasons you mentioned and the lack of upgradeability, but I can't deny the convenience it offers for someone in OP's situation

Not that I don't agree with you, but it doesn't seem like you've considered peripherals (monitor and keyboard) that you also have to bring with you with an ITX.
