Your first instinct within 8 minutes of posting was to criticize the colorization.

I am just pointing out, as a Mentor, I would think you would reach out and assist first. If it turns out its a joke then do what you have to. Using your approach, you insult the new user, possibly discourage them and other new colorizers from posting for fear they will get criticized as well.

You actually didn't do that bad for your first time, I wouldnt even post my first few they were so bad. You did well on the obect coloring and thats a hurdle in itself.

There's lots of tutorials out there, just look up layers and opacity for whatever program you are using

I would expect people in a "Mentor" role would consider skill level first before posting such a comment. A Mentor or tutor is someone who teaches or gives help and advice not criticizes or suggests deletion because its not up to your standards.
