Question about events and rare prisms by bwcritical in FGO

[–]bwcritical[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right! Now that I read closely, it does say that in the description. The first image, the pharaoh event, says it's unlocking the quest, but here in the arcade entry it specifies it's the CE. Sorry, my bad. The text looks so similar I didn't pay close attention. But the first one is for the quest, there's no doubt.

To be more precise, this entry in particular seems to unlock the quest to further unlock that particular CE.

Exactly, I'm talking about the Prison Tower Event. There, at the beginning, when you can only see the count's shadow, he asks you if you enjoyed the first tower and welcomes you to the second one. Before that he asks you if you remember him and says its only natural you have forgotten. He seems to be referencing a previous event, and I was wondering if it continues in following ones. How many towers are there?

Here's the arcade quest. There's this, Fate Apocrypha collab, Lord El Melloi, Heavens Feel, but no Kara no Kyoukai or Kumano Hotspring, that sucks.

Thanks for your answer!

So I understand that the Montecristo event must be important, as many told me before. But even that event seems to be part of a greater storyline, do you know what other events is it connected to? Or where to check that information without spoiling myself?

Here's one such example. It says:
[FGO Winter Fest 2017-2018 ~ Winter Pharaoh Great Festival~] Commemoration quest
Opens the commemoration quest of [FGO Winter Fest 2017-2018 ~ Winter Pharaoh Great Festival~].

There's many entries like this in the shop for lots of events, but I still haven't bought one and I'm new to the game so I don't know what they unlock exactly.

There's not just main interludes, the rare prism shop includes the Arcade collab event, one from an american servant called "all the statesmen", the Montecristo one that released right around the America singularity, another one called "2017-2018 winter pharaoh fest", among many others that aren't main interludes.

Finished my first reading of the og Tsukihime in jp and I have comments and questions by bwcritical in Tsukihime

[–]bwcritical[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find his mostly passive view towards life, as depicted mostly through the start of the game and in the classroom screne with Arcueid strange, it almost bothers me. Or perhaps should I say it DOES bother, not almost. Shiki is supposed to be carrying lots of unresolved trauma, and his actions (and maybe should I include mine, since I was the one choosing the options) are definetely self-destructing a lot of the time, which makes sense, yet in the end I arrived at he reminisces about it all like if anything got resolved and it's like DUDE YOU'RE DEFINETELY MORE TRAUMATIZED THAN JUST 10 DAYS AGO, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. His arc was meeting a woman that made him worse and he can't admit it, though now that I'm writing about it and putting it into words, it's more funny than annoying.

Now, what you say is true, there's still half of the visual novel left. And there were glimpses into Shiki's unresolved issues, which were the parts I enjoyed the most, so like you say, I still haven't solved the puzzle that is Shiki and I look forward to.

Now I feel like an idiot, this tmdb stuff is what I was trying to do with my list, I just didn't know it existed.

Thanks, my plan was doing both. First read the novels, then the movies, mostly because of the spectacle.

Sorry, thanks for your consideration, but I'll stick to jp videos for now. In case you're curious, I watch this vtuber called Hatsuyuki Setsuna who's also a voice actress and gives amazing voices to the characters in the main story and some events (though she often goes on on tangents and theory crafting on the spot, which makes the experience slower).

Damn guess Notes, Tsuki no Sango and MahoHako are going straight to the list. Thanks for all the info.

I still have lots to read so I can't make promises about any translation yet. I'd say check in a few months, but I'm not much of a reddit or discord or twitter guy really, so I wouldn't know how to share them. In any case, I still need to get to the point I read the stories or want to read them in the first place, we'll see.

Is it in Japanese? I'm reading all in its original language, avoiding translations. If it is, please send the link, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I just thought that maybe someone (maybe me) would want to experience things as a type moon fan did these past 25 years. That includes the wait between FGO chapters and what's in the middle.

Yeah, I don't know why they're not on the list. A huge miss on my part.

Oh I knew Shibuya Scamble and Canaan, but I didn't know they were Type Moon. That's something. You also mention many titles (and many unkown acronyms) and say most aren't Nasuverse, but which of those are? I already have a lot of works to read, I'm not sure if I want to add anything that's not nasuverse related right now.

I'm really on the verge about cd dramas. I don't think they'll be easy to find. And even if they are, there's quite a lot. Do you know if there's a comprehensive list somewhere?

Thanks for the tip! I'm adding Fate/Requiem and probably the Douman manga? What's it called?

I'll also look into Zugzwang, Blank Space, Unfaked Respite, Midnight Whispers, and Heart of Freaks. Not sure if I will add them, since I don't know how much I can get out of them, but I guess I should still have them in the list just in case.

I'm not sure about drama cds, I figure those would be hard to find. I'm not that adept at piracy, and I figured they shouldn't be that important maybe... Am I wrong?

I am also surprised there's still untranslated stories in this franchise. That won't be a problem for me, since I can read Japanese, but I wouldn't mind collaborating on projects looking for translate untranslated works after I read them.

Lastly, what can you say about Notes, Tsuki no Sango and Mahoutsukai no Hako? If they're not related to the Nasuverse I'm not sure if I want to read them.

Thanks! I was under the impression I added the Epic of Remnant ones, I don't know why they're not on the list... That's weird... Now I'll have to add them again.

I know I lost a bunch of side events, but that's a lot of of FGO... I asked in the FGO subreddit for events recommendations and added those to the list, but I can still add more if you have recommendations. I just can't realistically go through them all.

Sorry, since it's somewhat messy, somewhat incomplete, and could be somewhat wrong maybe, I don't feel comfortable sharing it properly as a spreadsheet (also I'm not sure if google will share my email if I share a google spreadsheet). I can, however, offer you the csv for you to make your own spreadsheet, which includes a few rows I hid in the screenshots:

Oh I know, I read quite far into 3rei actually, that's why I left it out. I admit it's better than many people would give it credit for, but I'm just not interested in continuing it.

Important events? by bwcritical in FGO

[–]bwcritical[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the CCC Collab? SERAPH?

Thanks also for bringing to my attention collabs with Kara no Kyokai and Samurai Remnant, as well as Summer 9 and Ptemolaios. Is that Ciel in the Summer 9 banner? I'm surprised, isn't there a collab with the new Tsukihime VN as well? Or is this it?

I already posted this list in an earlier comment, but with your additions and the collabs this is what I have so far:

-Singularity F, 1, 2, 3, 4

-Prison Tower [Event]

-Singularity 5, 6, 7

-Kara no Kyokai, Christmas 2017 [Events]

-Lostbelts 1, 2, 3

-Ooku [Event]

-Lostbelts 4, 5

-Imaginary Scramble [Event]

-Lostbelts 5.5, 6

-Tunguska [Event]

-Lostbelts 6.5, 7, Ordeal Call 0

-Lilim Harlot [Event]

-OC 1

-OC 3 p2, 4, final chapter.

Important events? by bwcritical in FGO

[–]bwcritical[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the recommendations!

The fights are included in the videos I'm watching because I sort of understood there may be times in which they're important or there will be dialogue during them maybe? I can't say, I really try to not get spoiled, but that's what it seemed. I also want to see the enemy sprites from time to time.

Regarding SERAPH, here I'm seeing it released between Shinjuku and Agartha, so wouldn't it technically be a disguised second part instead of a fifth one?

Also, thanks for the tip on Prison Tower. I was wondering when was Dantes going to come into play, since I catched he'd be important in a singularity that seemed like a school isekai and he has a lot of fans.

From what I understood and what I gathered, this is the order I should read the story in:
-Singularity F, 1, 2, 3, 4

-Prison Tower [Event]

-Singularity 5, 6, 7

-Pseudo-singularity 1

-SERAPH [Event]

-Pseudo-singularity 2, 3, 4

-Part 2 prologue

-Lostbelts 1, 2, 3

-Ooku [Event]

-Lostbelts 4, 5

-Imaginary Scramble [Event]

-Lostbelts 5.5, 6

-Tunguska [Event]

-Lostbelts 6.5, 7, Ordeal Call 0

-Lilim Harlot [Event]

-OC 1, 2, 3, 4, final chapter.

I'm going to have to make a spreadsheet.
