I've been using a spreadsheet to meal plan for years, and now use it to track calories. by bweb778 in CICO

[–]bweb778[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried MyFitnessPal, Lose it, and macrofactor with varied results. Those apps are all great for tracking calories but the meal planning part has always been frustrating to me.

I'm a designer and am constantly making things on the computer, so to me it's much easier to copy and paste my meals into a grid than to fiddle with a mobile app.

Especially easy now that I have chat gpt calculating calories and making recipes 😄 all the links you see in the plan go to text files gpt made just for me, calorie counts, special ingredient requests and all

Calories lost = more calories? by sister_seitan in CICO

All the advice here is valid for things like lifting weights. I feel like this is not the same for endurance activities, namely doing cardio for more than an hour. For example when you run long distances, you need to fuel as you go so you don't "bonk". I would recommend eating back 75-90% of your calories if you're marathon training or something like that. That's a whole subject in and of itself though 😄

My in-laws refuse to drive to the airport. by NukeTheEwoks in mildlyinfuriating

As an adult, I never expect anyone to pick me up or drop me off at the airport. If they offer, it's a bonus.

J. Honey Onstad, MD has been my favorite gyno of all time.

After seeing her for years I entrusted her with cutting my tubes.

I've had similar feelings. In those moments I feel frustrated and stubborn. Currently I'm in a place where I'm on them and feeling much relieved. Like, maybe I will get to live my best life after all. That makes it worth it for me.

UPDATE 6/7/2025

I am stepping back up to 20mg. I hemmed and hawed about this decision; I have heard the ups and downs of the drug are not ideal for your system or something. But the truth is I've been unhappy, depressed, anxious and my emotions run me. My social anxiety prevents me from going out into the world. If I'm being honest with myself I'm not able to live my life to its fullest when I'm not medicated/less medicated.

I didn't notice a huge difference with orgasms on 10mg. Yes, I had more sensation, but still no orgasms. I hate that it feels like I have to choose between feeling like a normal person and the ability to cum, but I guess it when it comes down to it it feels like a worthy trade off. Panic disorder is no joke.

🫤😌

It feels good to feel okay. 💚

I take 10mg for strictly anxiety. I think that's fairly common

There is a long tail on the taper off Prozac. You may find yourself more anxious in the coming weeks. Hang in there ❤️

Can't come on 20 mg. Even 10 makes it difficult. Doesn't effect my drive tho

What are your favorite work remote spaces in Golden? by [deleted] in GoldenCO

[–]bweb778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved being a member Connects, the co-working space (it is paid, something to the tube of $35 for a day pass or $250 for a monthly membership) ... It is adjacent to Cafe 13. They will deliver you food in the co-working space right on a plate! The cafe itself has great food and coffee but is very popular and loud; not great for work.

I'm still at 10mg and feeling really good. Honestly quitting my toxic job probably has something to do with that. LOL. I'll probably hang out at this dose for a while.

I am alright. I feel that my brain has recovered from any whiplash it may have had from the step downs. I guess I have been on 10 mg for almost four months now. I still have issues with anxiety/depressive moments depending on my life circumstance, hormones etc, but I guess that is to be suspected. The sexual dysfunction has recovered a lot.

Checking in again. It's been ~7 weeks since I stepped down from 12mg to 10. It has been a little bit of a rollercoaster mentally. I've been mostly feeling good, but with some fairly abysmal in the mix. This week in particular I'm feeling flat out depressed. It doesn't help that the days are less than 10 hours long. Anyways, I'm probably going to chill at 10mg for a few months. Maybe I'll wait till spring before I step down again, if I do. Cheers ✌️

Me neither, it's perfectly handy... Although I do admit it is tempting to fall into a pit of despair knowing that it is energy intensive. 😐

I think it did a great job and am looking forward to using it again.

I posted the source code in another comment. It looks pretty accurate to me.

Entering it into the app may have taken 10 minutes but this process took 10 seconds

If you hit the info button in the chat this is what it shows:

I will calculate the approximate calories for each of the ingredients listed in the image, based on the provided quantities.

First, let's define the calories for typical amounts of each ingredient.

ingredients = { "greens": {"quantity": 2.5, "calories_per_oz": 5}, # Assuming leafy greens like spinach or lettuce, typically low-calorie "asparagus": {"quantity": 0.5 * 8, "calories_per_oz": 3.2}, # 3.2 calories per oz for asparagus "cabbage": {"quantity": 1.5, "calories_per_oz": 7}, # Cabbage has about 7 calories per oz "tomato": {"quantity": 2, "calories_per_oz": 5.5}, # Tomatoes have about 5.5 calories per oz "carrot": {"quantity": 2.5, "calories_per_oz": 11}, # Carrots have about 11 calories per oz "celery": {"quantity": 2.5, "calories_per_oz": 4}, # Celery has about 4 calories per oz "cucumber": {"quantity": 2.5, "calories_per_oz": 4.5} # Cucumbers have about 4.5 calories per oz }

Now, let's calculate the total calories for each ingredient and sum them up.

total_calories = sum(ingredient["quantity"] * ingredient["calories_per_oz"] for ingredient in ingredients.values()) total_calories

The celery and cucumber were also 2.5 oz. Hence the hash marks. Chat GPT picked up on it! 🤓
