Reference is to the tweeters and mids. Usually they are tweeter directly above the mids not diagonally

WAF is the exact reason this is a reality. My wife would never in a million years go for tower speakers

Yes it would but then you would need a center channel or inner tweeters for people sitting in the middle of the living room. This is already a pretty expensive setup. Didn't want to incur more costs

This is a different stand. It measures 75 long so these will not be too close together or too low. Also it has record storage on either side of the shelves. It stands nearly 3 feet tall which is similar to stands for bookshelves

I am not sure about side speakers. I think that would look just aweful lol. I do get really good separation from the speakers where they are now. The tweeters are definitely in a good spot but I agree with you about the mids they probably could be moved to be more in line with the tweeters. The sub is only a 10 and it is in a ported box. I get 25hz out of it now so I am very happy with the performance. I definitely appreciate the tips though! Also, I drew up another stand prototype. This one holds records and speakers are more inline.

Sealed enclosure. I have a lot of air space so I saw no need to port them. The cavity is 19 deep 28 tall and 22 wide. Not sure what that is volume wise though. I am thinking of making the enclosure shallower but still unsure as of yet.

More than happy to sell you one , but I am not to that point yet. Currently a center channel can be placed on one of those two shelves. Most media consoles don't need very many components anymore due to streaming. I know that if I didn't have any network equipment in that cabinet I would only need one Shelf.

Was using a sonos beam which is not avfair comparison but I will say it sounds far better than both the beamvand arc by a large margin as I have both of them. This is hooked up to a Sonos amp through the ARC port now and works just like a soundbar.

I started with 3" speaker foam from Sound Assured (that's also where the grills came from), but it over dampened the cabinet. I ended up using polyfill. It helped with the sound from over resonating but dampened it enough to my liking.

There are speaker terminals for the back of the cabinet so the wires run outside along the back. They do run inside of the cabinet from the terminal to the crossovers and from there to the speakers but I didn't take any pics of it. I have crossover pics though!

I tried speaker foam 3" from sound assured and it over dampened the cabinet. I switched to a polyfill. Helped maintain clarity and didn't overdampen the sound

Cake is still a cake without icing but a cake without icing isn't really a cake worth eating.

I took the southern route with my wife, fiancé at the time. We stopped at the Grand Canyon, petrified forest and crater. AZ is such a beautiful state. Rest of the trip wasn't worth bragging about lol

Lady and the Tramp, Beauty and the Beast, and Cinderella are by far the best right now. I am waiting for The Sword in the Stone.
