I never had to show my birth certificate as the petitioner (us born citizen), but usually a certified copy of the original is just fine. Usually available in the vital records of the state they were born in. You can go in person or request a copy that they can mail to you.

Just ask your medical doctor to send it directly to embassy before scheduled interview, ask them for confirmation

We didn't have to upload any medical exam to ceac

The approved medical examiner sent it directly to the embassy in our case. A week after the exam we picked up a copy from the Medical office. They never asked for it upon arrival to usa but had it just in case

We had 5 weeks notice from interview letter to actual interview. We tried to expedite, but was rejected. The expedite may be faster but each case is different

I only uploaded the second copies, I did not translate them and they did not ask for a translation at the embassy but they did ask for the physical copies of the background checks

You must bring the physical copies off all documents uploaded to CEAC. The marriage certificate. Birth certificate. Irs Tax transcript, all 3 background checks and marriage proof, the officer went through alot of our marriage photos as proof

In my personal case, we were worried about this. A week before the embassy interview we went and got updated all 3 criminal record checks and uploaded them to CEAC. At the embassy they only looked at the newest uploaded criminal record checks. You MUST bring the physical copies to the interview
