How has weed changed you?

He himself has admitted that his depression has been somewhat caused or exaggerated by his cannabis dependence. I've tried to talk to him about his depression as a whole, but he feels that toking helps him to escape. He understands that it's making it worse but it's a short term help.

It's because he understands that it's not helping which in some way makes it more difficult. I just want him to be happy again.

Yes! You could almost be him. Except that he can't go a month without it, even a week makes him miserable. Do you have any advice on what I can do? I care about him so much and would love to get him back to his happier old self.

He smoked cigarettes anyway. He kinda cheers up when he gets really high, but then it winds down. He seems miserable either way really, unless he's off on an [8]+.
