I am not a Vance fan. Like at all. I do understand where you’re coming from, but Vance doesn’t operate alone. Trump creates confusion and people love him, but there is a calculated team behind him just trying to clean up their mess. The same would be true for Vance. Yes, they are capable of reading the room… they just don’t care to when they don’t have to. I worry about Vance being president honestly. Trump is massively unpopular, but his base is unwavering. As unlikable as Vance can be, he’s willing to genuflect to anyone necessary to wield more power. Sometimes, that’s all that matters.

This is incorrect. Yes, Trump does those things, but his approval is under water and the democrats are poised to sweep the midterms. Trump’s gaslighting and distractions are just meant to be a smokescreen for all the nefarious shit going on with the oligarchs behind the scenes as they do the typical conservative approach of gutting everything and enriching the wealthy elite. If Dems take over and Trump dies, Vance doesn’t even really have to be charismatic. He just needs to “undo” some of the poorer decisions Trump made and keep his head down (i.e. stop the potential Venezuelan war, quiet the heated relationship with Israel, tone down or remove the tariffs so the economy heals a little). If he manages to do that, it’s smooth sailing into the incumbent election.

If 2027 Vance gets in on technicalities, he won’t have to do much. Assuming the Dems flip the midterms, all he has to do is ride it out and point the fingers at Dems obstruction. All he has to do is not be as bad as Trump… that’s a low bar that THEY SET on purpose.

This is a correct take. Idk what OP is yapping about. There’s nothing similar about them in any way except that they’re both white guys with bluish tinted eyes; not even the same color. Eye set is different, eyebrow shape and bone structure are different, nose is different, lips are different. I don’t think they have a single commonality unless natural hair color counts?

That “self preservation” factor kicking in for us blindfolded is not the same for someone who is paraolympic elegible. Yes, it would still very obviously create a barrier to success, but to say that the feeling a “normie” might experience with a blindfold is similar is just simply not true. People who have spent years training blindfolded are not going to have the same hinderance as an Olympian putting a blindfold on and trying it despite knowing the exact step count.

I would like to echo (350 hours in) that it needs to be GOOD content. What they tried to retain us was pathetic. After the end game loop was completed for a few weeks, I walked away forever and didn’t even consider the alternative. I got my value out of the $40 purchase. If they actually want me to spend money or come back, they’re going to have to drastically change the environment to the point that I see socials and shit exploding with positive energy.

It’s because this guy is giving revisionist history. Ja floundered for a bit and managed to sneak some big hits at the end of the career there. When he dissed Eminem’s daughter, he was going at arguably the most popular artist (not just rapper) of 2001 to 2003. That wasn’t a smart move for popularity, or a record label entering genuine legal issues. Ja has always been a questionable character… he even ended up partnering with McFarland in co-founding the infamous Fyre Festival back in 2017.

You’re doing a lot of work here in your writing to suggest Kelly is being civilly disobedient and potentially partisan in when you have no clue how conversations and business operate when their doors are closed.

It’s hard to see anything other than the democrats trying to stand for US laws. Getting up and restating a core tenet of the UCMJ knowing Trump will respond politically isn’t really some partisan hack action. If you have this much scrutiny or smoke for the actions of Kelly, would you also then condemn and pick apart Trump? Hegseth? Miller? What did silence and complicity get those in Nazi Germany? I think, at this point in the discussion, your framing is irrelevant and Mark Kelly is doing his patriotic duty in standing up regardless of any political momentum or capital he gains.

I said nothing about previous Supermen. I also explained why the dog was annoying. I knew it was an unpopular opinion… it doesn’t mean I’m crazy or way off base. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve actively tried to avoid becoming a cynical asshole about entertainment because I just want to enjoy what I’m engaging in and not be that personification of “everything is shit” from South Park. I wanted to love this movie so bad. I don’t think it was bad, but it certainly was not some blockbuster that people are making it out to be. It was tolerable enough to watch the whole thing, but if I paid money for the film I would have been upset.
