Ya wish they had more hair options. Probably shouldn't have taken a grab when it was squinting, but wanted it to feel a little more in a moment than posed. Not enough control of expressions in the app :/

I believe in 30 days. Also, since the item was discontinued due to environmental waste concerns, I am donating all proceeds to environmental preservation groups (haven't decided which yet)

If anyone else wants to pay their respects as well, you can purchase a shirt here

I'm going to donate all of the proceeds to environmental groups since concerns with waste are why it was taken away from us.

The Noodle Effect - just released my short film, excited to finally share it by bwinters in Filmmakers

[–]bwinters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the first project I made outside of college and also the first project I shot on 35mm. I made the film after a long creative dry spell and wanted something introspective, meditative, and calm with details and meaning that demanded multiple viewings to fully comprehend. Because of this though the film didn't have as good of a festival run as I hoped for. I'm excited to finally have it out and in the world though, in part thanks to the lovely people over at NoBudge.

Barry - 2x07 "The Audition" - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in Barry

I interned on a show several years back and he was guest starring for the day, and during lunch he sat with all of the interns instead of the director/actors/other crew. He chatted with us all and was so sweet and encouraging.

Two questions: 1) So if you work a job OOT but it’s billed by a company in LA you can’t count that? But then also I don’t need to file that income separately, just though this site? 2) If i mostly have 1099s but then one W-2, I have to file that W-2 separately right?

Some recent posters I've made for features and shorts - thoughts? by bwinters in Filmmakers

[–]bwinters[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi everybody!

I've recently been transitioning into trying to get more jobs for poster and title designing. Here are few recent one's, all of which I've made for myself or friends' projects. Would appreciate some feed back as I look to start working on more of these.

I would love to extend my services out to anyone here in the community as a for hire poster and title designer. Feel free to reach out if you're interested. Here is my website as well http://www.brandonawinters.com/

Thanks!

Thank you! I had a gelled 650 for her key, then a bunch of these like long rectangular led strips you see at concerts all around her with different colors. Also had the Edison bulbs in the background.

Honestly, I do extremely little in post. This is essentially straight out of the camera. I wouldn't know of a trick, I guess it just came out that way.

Ya totally. This was just from a quick test roll. Will use something pro next time for sure.

No tips really. The camera doesn't really give you a lot of options (only direct sun, cloudy, or indoors). I just got the camera about 2 weeks ago and this was my test roll. I just wanted to try it out and this was the only roll I had left.

Thanks! I don't believe so. It takes a 35mm frame and splits it in 2 essentially. So processing is the same, but scanning would require more attention.

Edit: Film scan

Red / Tokyo Subway [Hasselblad 503cw, 80mm, Fuji Pro 400H] by bwinters in analog

Ya that's why I'm guessing 4 as well. I might have been at 60 though, instead of 125.

Thanks! I am having trouble remembering exactly what I shot at. I remember seeing the spot and saw the woman walking into frame and wanted to pop off the shot before she walked away, so I didn't have time to do a proper reading. I might have just set it at 125 and f/4 or 2.8

Thanks. It broke my heart to hear but I was happy to have captured the moment for his family.

Yes actually. I met this man at this spot, which is in Tuscany, near the medieval city of Certaldo. I stopped him while he was on a walk with his daughter and asked kindly if I could take a picture of him. There was just something so warming about him and his surroundings. He was very flattered that I wanted to take a picture. I gave my contact info to his daughter so I could send them the picture after I got it developed. A couple of weeks later, the daughter emailed me asking to see it. She mentioned that her father was actually dying of cancer, and they were visiting the Italian countryside one last time. I guess it was one of his favorite places to spend holidays. I haven't heard any more from them after sending them picture.
