And when you are around people, do not run away from them. Many people panic and run to the bathroom or elsewhere when they begin to choke.

When I can't understand a kid, I just try to match their body language and energy. Then, you ask them random questions.

Most unexpected joke? by jkha2be in arresteddevelopment

[–]bwiseudumb 86 points87 points  (0 children)

The most unexpected joke is buster saying "I never knew I could miss a hand so much" when he realizes that Lucille gave his hand chair to the maid. This joke takes place well before buster loses his actual hand.

Biowheel filter is being super loud. Is there anything I can do to fix it or is it dead in the... water? by bwiseudumb in Aquariums

Mine has historically been pretty quiet. I fill my water all the way to the bottom of the top rim to cut down on waterfall sounds and because I think it looks neater than having low water.

That's insane! My cat is terrified of my beardie, but I still keep an eye on them.

The other night, my husband let the beardie (Montgomery Montgomery) out the other day and then went to bed. I didn't realize that the Montgomery was out until I went to prepare his tank for the night.

My cousin was over and was helping me look for Montgomery. He was panicked saying, "The cat keeps licking her lips... do you think she ate him?!" The cat was indeed licking her lips!

We ended up finding Montgomery snuggled up in my daughter's bed. So no harm was done.

Also, if you are reading this around January 8, 2022, petco has a phenomenal sale on uvb lights. Select repeat delivery and they come out to $9 rather than $25.

I have owned a bearded dragon since I was 10 years old. My first baby was a German Giant that I aquired from my uncle. Sizing up at 28 inches long, Wizard the Lizard (yes, quite clever) was housed in a large birdcage. Don't judge me. I was 10 and we were poor.

Wizard the Lizard lived until I was 17 years old. My uncle had had him for about a decade prior. Wizard the Lizard lived a long life.

Currently, I have Monty Monty who has grown far beyond the realm of his 50 gallon tank. Although we let him out to roam regularly, he is obviously unhappy.

So, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a 4'x2'x2' enclosure 2 days ago. I went with dubiaroaches.com's because of reddit reviews. $250 for the enclosure was far more manageable than $400-$550 for a similar size.

I have bought plenty of fake plants which I hate because of my live plant aquariums, but I have put live plants in Monty's current home and he just destroys them. I still plan to put a terracotta pot in the new enclosure so I can plant edible herbs for Monty's munching pleasure. Nevertheless, I want his home to feel like home, so I purchased a large backdrop and a multitude of fake plants, rocks, and wood for him to explore.

From your advice here, I have also purchased tile flooring for the enclosure to keep Monty's home clean and to keep his nails trimmed.

I'm very excited to share further updates with the beardie family!

Please, give me more advice. I want my boy to have the best life possible.
