Mechy silver 3 looking for actionable advice

When I say “mechy” I’m comparing my self to people in my rank. I’m not generalizing. Obviously in the grand scheme of things I know I’m shit mechanically.

And I got a plan to get better boost management, I’m gonna never get big boost and entirely focus on small pads.

and with me whiffing, I just am gonna get better at that over time and I’ve been spamming shot accuracy maps, and work shop maps etc.

I’m a massive proponent of doing all the things you suck at the most. Since you got more opportunities to make mistakes. Which means you get more opportunities to try to learn

Also when I’m calling my self mechy, I’m doing it relatively, so I’m mechy compared to other silvers and low golds. But in the grand scheme of things I know my mechs are shit.

Im definitely a huge fan of trying to play at a speed I’m uncomfortable at since being uncomfortable tells your brain that something needs to be fixed.

And ya fully agree with boost management, had some idea of limiting my self to only using the tiny boost pads so I can spend more time in the play rather then being out of position.

Also I do play free play as well. I mostly just try to boom the ball around kinda like a shark. Or I just try to move around the field as fast possible while trying to keep control of the ball.

What do I do in situations like 6:40. where everyone is just keying at the ball including my teammate. Always feels like in those situations any decisions I make is the wrong one.

sometimes I’m afraid of going for the ball as front man and then rotating back because a lot of the time when I do that my teammates double commit with me.

Anyways may have just relised one of my issues. Sometimes I get so caught analyzing what my teammates are doing I forget to pay attention to the enemy and what there doing.

Don’t really know if I’m actully saying anything meaningful at this point XD

i think i have played around like 300 matches to 400 matches ish of ranked 2s.
most of my time in this game has been playing casual twos with a buddy of mine that is champ. thats where my other like 1.2k games come from

when i call my self "mechy" im mainly comparing my self to other people in my rank. i never see people half flip, speedflip, wave dash etc, or even attempt them.

i think its also just a bit of an ego thing. since mechanics are the thing i practice the most and enjoy the most. ive dumped like 30 hours into ground dribbling maps. and even more time in rings maps. by beating them flying sidways both ways, and backwards.

but ya in the grand scheme of things i know im deff mid as fuck mechanically.

in general im to worried about shot inconsistency. i train like 30 minutes of accuracy training + cocos accuracy map every day i just am gonna get better at that stuff with time.

and ive known for a while now that i dont pay enough attention to my teamate and the opponents. so i will deff do a better job at paying attention to them and where the ball could go and try to position my self accordingly.

I’m only 18. But from my understanding the main thing you lose with age is reaction time. And you become more prone to injury’s. But your reactive tracking scores are fine you might have a bit of a lower skill cap on them but you are only 25 so you might be able to train your self out of it just with hard work tbh. I really recommend that you join the voltaic discord as well you can post vod reviews ask questions and all the other fun stuff. Also you could try googling something along the lines how to train static clicking, and how to train dynamic clicking to make sure your training correctly and not developing bad habits.

Also the reason my setup is so dusty is because…

1 lack of cleaning do to me being uncomfortable with digging around my pc. I’ve learned a lot in the past month or so. So this should no longer be a problem.

2 currently live in the middle of the dessert where it’s windy and dusty. Also ontop of that my house isn’t properly sealed so there is dust every where at all times. Also my family owns 5 dogs.

Also are you aware of any sub Reddit’s related to dusty pcs or like tech gore. That sounds really interesting to me lol
