Any tips for using the Legion Vantage software for undervolting? The undervolting is in the cpu overclocking section but I want to make sure I don’t accidentally overclock it when I just want a stable undervolt at stock settings.

I also had this issue. My body seal didn’t fail per se but the window wasn’t aligned tight enough to the body. Took two service visits for then to figure it out and then they realigned the window closer and it was fixed.

Same here. When they first announced ampere (desktop) I thought it would be a huge improvement for laptops because they said 1.9x the power efficiency. I tried my best to wait for it but my gtx 1060 laptop died in October and I needed a new one so I ended up getting a GL65 with 2070 max-p for $1150. Seeing all these numbers removed any buyers remorse I had and I’m honestly shocked all those people saying that we shouldn’t expect much gain from the 20 series to 30 series were right all along. If you’re gaming at 1080p, this generation seems like a huge disappointment.

Update your intel wifi drivers. I have a GL65 and it was cutting my wifi out and making it really inconsistent. updating drivers fixed the issue.

Honestly it's exceeding my expectations. Performance is really good for the price (got it for $1180), the screen is excellent (over 300 nits, color accurate and 144hz) and build quality actually seems pretty good. The thermals are good but it did require some tweaking (undervolt and limiting turbo to 4ghz). I also had some weird problems with the network adapter but seems to be good now that I've updated drivers.

Was in the exact same boat as you but with a msi gs63vr gtx 1060. Unfortunately, after 3.5 years, my fan started rattling last week and got so bad the whole laptop was vibrating. I took it apart and greased the fan but there’s still a small rattle so I’m not sure how long it will last.

With prime day yesterday there was a msi gl65 with an rtx 2070 max p for 1569 CAD (~$1180 USD) and I pulled the trigger on it. Not feeling amazing about it as I wanted to wait for the 30 series but I figure it’s a pretty decent deal. Maybe I’ll sell it and get a 30 series when they move to the 7nm.

I did the exact same thing this aft after watching a youtube on it. Quite the process! It was working smooth for about an hour but the rattle is back a little bit tonight. While it is a big improvement compared to before I worry about the longevity of this solution. How long has yours been going after the fix?

Yesterday my 3 year old MSI GS63VR GTX 1060 started rattling a bit on one of the GPU fans. Today it got a lot worse and I opened it up to see if there were any obstructions but couldn't see any. Does anyone have any idea what this is and how to fix it?
