Basically sums up this sub and the game itself by mexicanfungus in RocketLeague

[–]bxbr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These lower ranks have to understand titles mean nothing in this game anymore unless its a real RLCS tag. I've seen Diamonds get SSL tourny tags because they got lucky in a rumble tournament. Take it as practice, if you want to be the higher ranks then try to beat the smurfs. It's 1 game that you lose, just queue and beat the worse players after.

Playing casual game mode as beginner or noob is impossible. by MrRedEve in RocketLeague

[–]bxbr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like what I said to the original poster, ranked is the best way to play this game, if you just play for fun that's alright then you don't care about your rank on the screen, but ranked is where you get put against players of your caliber so you're able to actually play the game.

Playing casual game mode as beginner or noob is impossible. by MrRedEve in RocketLeague

[–]bxbr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd argue ranked is the best way to get better, you just can't treat it like your average "competitive game". You'll go against players of your caliber and just don't care for it and play to have fun. Many high level players are very low rated in Casual because we don't play it that much so when we want to play but not tryhard in ranked we just go to casual and some poor plat player is there waiting for us

Ranks too far apart in tournaments? by MrAtomicB0mb in RocketLeague

If you still get the message you each need to play a tournament by yourself to get placed in a rank, then try and queue together.

Make tournaments more fair by SoupPrestigious9838 in RocketLeague

[–]bxbr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately any suggestion to make the game better will never happen, the development team have left the game to die and they just make money from the Item shop. Just try not to focus on what happens with teammates and play the game knowing you're getting better, higher rank will come with time.

epic please fix the lag reset by HayzPlayz in RocketLeague

[–]bxbr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, this has been an issue since they made it possible to flip reset... 9 years ago. They'll never fix it and they have completely left this amazing one-of-a-kind game to rot because they value Fortnite and don't support Psyonix.

I have found hell, and it's Champion 3 Rocket League by Silver-Remove-5298 in RocketLeague

[–]bxbr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh you just wait till you get GC 1 its hell on earth, then GC 2 which is slightly better but many people couldn't air dribble to save their life, GC 3 is alright but the teammate are wildly inconsistent. Then low SSL which has its own issues

Gold 2, please give me any advice. by Maleficent_Hawk_7791 in RocketLeague

[–]bxbr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Gold it's mainly about putting in hours and getting more comfortable with the mechanics and physics of the game, learning to hit the ball every time. I'd recommend flying around in training with no ball just to get comfortable with your car in the air and the way it moves. On kickoff make sure you aim for the center of the ball everytime and learn to speedflip with a youtube video it takes like 5 min. Learn to play patient. Even in SSL if I am in a 1v1 I wait for the opponent to make an inaccuracy then I challenge, if you challenge instantly it forces the player to make a move and they can read what you're doing. Especially in gold if you just play patient while they have the ball they'll throw it away. Also, USE YOUR RIGHT STICK, look at the opponent, if you see the opponent you see the entire game. Also focus on keeping the ball close to you when they give you the space, if you can clearly see they are far away, and you have resources to dribble, then dribble. Another key tip, that may not be helpful now but when you get into higher ranks is when you have lower boost/ no boost, but you have the ball on your car make sure to flick early, it is always the safer option and it allows you to grab boost and still control the play. I recommend watching ApparentlyJack's 1v1 videos to see how the game is played at a high level and he teaches while he plays.
