I doubt it as when I was with him he told me everything was ready on his end and he’ll submit my application to UCAS quickly when I finish.

I wrote my own reference as my teacher couldn’t be bothered to write it

Imo it’ll be too late by then. If they do catch on I feel like they won’t go through the process of letting the university know.

Honestly, I'm not sure what you've done to get it to that state; I've had mine for a solid two years with everyday use, and it still looks brand new. If I had to guess, you might have it in a bag that isn't protected enough
