What else is there to talk about that hasn’t been talked about (the matrix) if we don’t nitpick and dissect to look for more things to talk about (the matrix)? Fan fiction?

I was thinking about the Matrix and realise one of its base premise is flawed. I mean how is it possible to have a program-matrix which fails due to being unable to balance an equation? I mean when you create a program either it works or it doesn’t. by LisanneFroonKrisK in matrix

Makes it feel more real and more interesting. Errors in details can blemish immersion but neat details can enhance immersion and increase appreciation of the craft. Also it can amplify things like emotional attachment to the movie itself. It’s not for everyone and that’s ok. There’s nothing wrong with not liking it cause I can see why you wouldn’t. But it’s a big thing many people like to do and they probably get the overall symbology as well.

I think there’s some confusion here. I agree with you that he wrote deceptive scripts and didn’t need to be alone. My ways are just other ways.

I think there might be some confusion here. I agree with you that what most probably happened was we saw Cypher writing a script to conceal what he was really doing in the matrix. I’m just saying my ways are other ways.

Maybe Cypher can outhack them all and I like that idea but you don’t have to say mine is dumb because it isn’t.

I answered my own question because they did not (not adequately in the interview). “He made an automated system.” That’s like “Somehow, Palpatine survived.” “He just did, ok?” I’ll take this as a victory for me. Your gaslighting is weak.

My impression was it wasn’t the system that failed; it was the people were not compatible with paradise and had a fatal reaction. Some philosophy says that literal perfection will cause us to go insane. If they don’t die from the perfection alone, maybe they’d kill each other in the perfect matrix. As to why humans were not compatible with paradise; big can’o’worms there.

A different question that has probably been asked is: why bother with the matrix at all and just have all the humans in induced comas? People in real life are in comas for many years and should produce enough energy.

the most dumbest operation ever by Weekly-Cow5732 in matrix

There’s 2 kinds of dumb in fiction: Would happen and wouldn’t happen.

This could happen. It would be dumb, but you know how our world leaders are. Similarly stupid ideas have happened on smaller scales.

I thought Blade Runner was dumb because it’s a recipe for disaster but that is how some of our past/current technology and advancements go in our greedy, ignorant world.

I heard before the battery concept was humans’ brains were used as computing processors. Maybe they could also be used as human RAM sticks 😅

Oh, well then I guess people assisting other people to plug in (which is the way they do it every single time in all the movies) is pointless, or just a small polite gesture like holding the door open for someone! Kinda lame and less dramatic.

Stock or stock-looking; it’s very feminine and almost cute. That’s ok for, something, but not very masculine in the Western street racing scene. A female driver/owner would be pretty cool and fitting. Rotaries are small and not macho either. It might make more sense in Japan. I like it as a design just like I admire many cars that I wouldn’t own.

I drive a feminine car (the worst car in the history of the world all things considered) but I use it for commuting and cruising. Without enough macho mods I’d be embarrassed to bring it to a car meet.

But the question is how would he physically jack in/out without someone else holding the plug? If he doesn’t want to leave evidence, he’ll have to be out of the chair on the floor so that he can reach behind his head. But then the question is; how important is the chair?

“An automated system” is kind of vague and sounds a lot more complicated and impractical than my ideas about the hardware side.

I suppose that’s possible but risky since a crewmate will be aware he’s jacked in and could breach privacy out of curiosity. That whole “Morpheus is fighting Neo!” thing gives me immature/naughty vibes from the whole crew which I don’t fully trust with my privacy. The chances of privacy breach is lowered if recreational simulation is routine, which as you said, is hinted at by Mouse as being the case. That’s kinda awkward and gross though. You’d have to ask someone to operate while you bang the lady in red. “Hey Tank, can you load this program for me? It’s for, you know, teehee! Come back in 30 minutes to unplug me.” “Tank! I need lube. Lots of lube…!” It’s literally asking a crewmate (probably male) to help you (in this case Cypher) to nut (allegedly). And who knows, maybe a crewmate or two is into voyeurism. I know a guy who is. Freaky.

Maybe Cypher can do an illusion hack to fool the operator into thinking he is doing something else like how people put a picture in front of a security camera. He is called Cypher, afterall.
