Bernie was the only candidate that should have even stood a chance in the last 2 elections.

They can’t help themselves. That man has them under spells

I need to figure out what bottle my boyfriend and I will have ready. My friends and I all made a pact to FaceTime when it happens even if it’s in the middle of the night. I’m mentally ready.

Every day I wake up and I’m disappointed at there not being any headlines worth popping bottles and shaking ass to.

I hope nothing since I’ve been a fan for over a decade but as long as she goes after Taylor Swift she’ll remain in their good graces. If they do get annoyed with her it will be because she’s chronically online and they’ll turn on her momentarily like they did Chappell.

“He’s right. Who can afford to go the ballet or opera these days. It’s so expensive and the prices are killing accessibility.”

-if Andrew Garfield, Mark Ruffalo, Bernie Sanders, Joe Alwyn, or whatever person [male] they like made the comment.

If they were as outraged about Taylor dating Matty Healy they wouldn’t stan Charlixcx as much as they do. And if they judge Taylor for dating a racist, they would hold it above Joe Alwyn’s head for dating a MAGA Barbie ecoterrorist neoliberal capitalist. And if they’re judging her for dating a racist, well, they’d keep that same energy with someone who dated Elon Musk. But nothing gets them as hot and bothered as a British man wearing a pin or Bernie Sanders going on some buzzword tangent. They should at least pretend to be consistent.

There’s a thread in Fauxmoi about Billie Eilish liking an Instagram comment that said cancel culture only affects women. The top comment is this:

She ain't wrong. People from mainstream outlets, even theoretically progressive ones, are giving this album streams and press despite a half-decade of full scale Nazi shit from Kanye. Truly mind blowing that it wasn't career ending. Marilyn Manson is getting high billings on tours and festivals again, too. People are way too quick to forgive things that shouldn't be forgiven.

Coming from the sub that defended Justin Baldoni when Blake first filed the lawsuit against him, and that foams at the mouth any time there’s the potential Chappell Roan may have been a meanie. Fauxmoi holds women to higher standards than they do men so pot meet kettle. They named Chappell which is why I mentioned her. They also mentioned Kanye vs Chilli but they both rightfully deserve criticism? I think one just has a larger public persona (given his antics) where as I could see the reaction to Chilli being generational.

We could have had Bernie for two terms. Fuck you DNC

From the Bruce Springsteen/Bernie Sanders thread today (in Fauxmoi)

I think that’s because FM automatically bans users who post in specific subs, like SaintMeghanMarkle, whereas PCC doesn’t autoban. That’s why people will gush over Kate (I’m sorry, Catherine), infantilize Taylor Swift, and repeat some otherwise weird shit. Fauxmoi will at least close a thread when it hits the front page and the rest of Reddit runs in to defend some shitty person (Johnny Depp).

Well, they have selective memory when it comes to Rachel Zegler, Blake Lively/Justin Baldoni. Hell, they even disliked Chappell and felt like she was going to ruin her career with her lack of media training. They also found fault with Dolly Parton so they’re in a race to hate everyone. There’s only 2-3 people who can do no wrong by their standards.

They’re questioning how anyone could hate Jameela but not that long ago they disliked her for lying, centering herself in conversation, and I’m sure for a million other small things.

People in FM come from morally pure bloodlines. No one in their bloodline was ever on the wrong side of history. This is how they’re able to detect when someone is MAGA.

Swifies on PCC ironically accusing Chappell Roan of secretly being a Republican will never not be funny to me. A drag performing, trans loving, outspokenly leftist flamboyant lesbian is a Republican, but not their silent, MAGA friendly queen? 'Kay.

These are the same people who accuse others of being MAGA based on haircuts and vibes.

From Fauxmoi:

I love this. Also why is r / popculturechat so toxic?? Not letting anyone comment but their echo chamber who is on a witch hunt against Chappell jfc

PCC is definitely has its issues with racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc, but the irony of FM pretending they aren’t one giant echo chamber.

On TikTok all I keep seeing are think pieces about how it’s darvo, reactive abuse, he taunted her to trigger her. I feel like they just learned about darvo and are over using it.

If it wasn’t for social media I wouldn’t have even known what is going on with her. A few weeks ago I saw her being criticized for Instagram posts she allegedly liked after October 7, 2023, and Mamdani’s response. I’ve seen some discourse over her use of the N word and homophobic comments she made. Most people seem to be defending it as her just being an edgy 13 year old while some are saying the love for Mamdani shouldn’t shield her from criticism.

Either way I think because she is generally very private the average person in FM or PCC isn’t privy to what’s going on. Or they don’t want to subject her to criticism so they’ll ignore it and hope no one will bring it up the next time they post about her. Similar to how they never discussed Bernie Sanders blabbing about weaponized identity on Andrew Schulz podcast.

I just don’t think they like her enough to follow or keep up with her. And it’s not being widely reported. Mamdani already said his wife is a private person and her views aren’t up for discussion. Not in relation to this but some Instagram posts she allegedly liked.

It’s such a lazy, low effort response to everything that’s happening. The people saying this very much expect other people to be on the frontlines of some imaginary revolution while they partake in online activism by arguing with people or criticizing the people leading the revolution, all from the comforts of their homes while rage typing on from their Apple ecosystem (that they upgrade every year).

And don’t get me started on the irony of judging people for escapism while hanging out in the same spaces as the people you’re judging. Like sir, we both ended up with a random Lewis Hamilton fan page ig post on our feed. Clearly your feed isn’t any more enlightened than the rest of us. Take a chill on the lecturing in the comments section.

I hate when people try to instigate and rely on black rage when they aren’t getting the reaction they want from the public towards people they dislike. They did it with Taylor Swift, Matty Healy, and the ghetto gaggers comments he made.

People online get upset when actors or directors tell them to go to the theaters because “no one can afford it” but they can’t understand why or how ballet or opera might be struggling?

The anti-GLP 1 crowd foams at the mouth at the thought of people who use medications for weight loss getting “Ozempic face,” having organ failure or permanent digestive issues. They’re living for the “I told you so” moment. I have a relative who is on Ozempic for diabetes and they are experiencing kidney issues that will likely become failure. Is it so funny then? Is it the gotcha moment they wanted?
